I don’t think I need to rehash Thursday night’s VP debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan. The overpaid Washington punditry did it already. And I’m sure that the comments below will also do such.
But here is some food for thought. The following exchange was the most watched portion of the debate according to Politico:
Take it for what you will. Will it come back to haunt the Republicans? Who knows?

Say what you will, Joe Biden is one of my heroes, mostly, I think, because he irritates the Serious People so much. And I don’t think for a minute that he’s as much of a loose cannon as the pundits would like us to believe — Obama’s too much of a control freak for that.
This bit was wonderful, especially Biden laying out just who the 47% are.
Wouldn’t you love to know who that bartender was and who him?
Why isn’t this speech working against Romney in the polls more than it is?
Ah, yes, the media, which aired the contrived and 100% biased swiftboat ad* again and again for free in their “news” programs and did the same for Dean’s “yelp” moved on from this accurate, real life video pretty quickly.
*The sponsors of the swiftboat ad paid to air the ad only once. One time. And I am not even sure that was a national ad buy. How many times did you see all or a portion of it?
How many times did you see or hear it or coverage of it?
Ryan’s fake smilie is just as infuriating as Biden (and other politicians) constantly referring to their opponents as “friends”. Just be honest, FFS. He isn’t your friend.
What Biden says needs to be repeated over and over and over. Obama still has two more chances to rehabilitate himself from his poor first debate. Romney’s statement reflects the true beliefs of the Republican Party, a Party which has not really accepted responsibility for the damage it has done to this country over the past 30 years. The Republicans deserve to have a good 1964-type Goldwater thrashing this November. Whether the Democrats will be able to give it to them or the American people have the brains or heart is another question.
I thought Ryan conceded when he brought up JFK and without missing a beat, Biden quipped “So now you’re Jack Kennedy ?”
It was particularly funny for those of us who remember the Quayle/Bentsen debate.
