Made it through the (very painful) epidural steroid injection (ESI) for a badly herniated disc that on an MRI showed lots o’ fun going on. This pic was taken in the recovery room. My post about curse-generating pain in the OR is here.
The jury is out on whether the initial shot will work. I should know in 3-5 days whether I will have good pain relief, and then in three weeks I may have another shot, this time focusing on the spinal area affecting my left hip/leg, where I am experiencing the most weakness and numbness/pain.

JC, Pam !!! I sure the heck hope that wasn’t from that bad batch that’s been all over the news, the one from the Mass. distributor that’s contaminated with a fungus that’s killed a bunch of people via meningitis…
