I thought I had heard it all from the birthers and tea party nuts, but Jerome Corsi pumped up the batsh*ttery level to the max. Via The New Civil Rights Movement:
Jerome Corsi, a radical right wing Tea Party author and conspiracy theorist, in this just-released video “reported” for his website, 1776 Nation, asks — and all but positively states that — President Obama is hiding that he’s gay or bisexual, and spends over ten minutes positing that a young Barack Obama may have been married to his Harvard Pakistani roommate.
From Corsi’s web site, 1776 Nation:
His Pakistani roommate, whom we also went to Pakistan with, from Occidental, seems to have been, take a look at pictures of he and his roommate together, Obama had all these roommate pictures, seems to be sitting about on the guy’s lap. I’ve not seen a lot of roommate pictures where two guys are that chummy. The issue is again, not an issue that we want to raise in terms of criticizing the homosexuality or the bisexuality or whatever Obama’s true inclinations are, the issue is why does he have to lie about this too.
Not that I have a problem with the President being bi, gay or whatever (hey, he was already coronated the first gay president by Newsweek, which is problematic only in that James Buchanan was the first), but this foolishness by Corsi and his crowd only confirms that the right wing fringe is so desperate to throw ANYTHING against the wall to tank Barack Obama’s re-election, that they don’t care how foolish this looks.

So there’s a real chord out—striking a real chord out here, and I think the reason is people are just hungry for new information about Obama and that this film does provide. Very often we hear critiques of Obama but not new facts about Obama. Remember there’s so much unknown about this guy, right? Let’s put aside the birther issue, I mean, what were Obama’s grades at Occidental College? Unknown. What was his SAT score for getting into college? Unknown. What was his GPA at Columbia? Unknown. What was his thesis about? Unknown. What was his law school test, his LSAT score, for getting into Harvard law school? Unknown. Who were his friends at Columbia? Unknown. He talks about having a bunch of girlfriends, where are they? What are their names? Unknown. So here’s a guy surrounded by black holes in his biography, he’s the most unvetted man, president, in modern American history.

Which planet has D’Souza been on for the past four years? Certainly not the same one as the rest of us.
Our eldest son and his Canadian girlfriend visited over the weekend, and she was simply gobsmacked at some of the things we were telling her about today’s US politics. I think she thought we must be joking, since surely nobody could possibly be that stupid. If only…
Considering that when Obama was in college, it wasn’t possible for him to be married to a man, anywhere, and the fact that Corsi is known to say/write anything that has even the most remote possibility of damaging whoever is in his sights, why is anyone still paying attention?
