I’m in Providence, Rhode Island for Netroots Nation 2012 (#nn12), and it’s nice to see so many familiar faces and newbies here. I actually arrived on Tuesday to attend Wednesday’s LGBT Netroots Connect pre-convention, organized by the fabulous activist Mike Rogers. It gives bloggers, professional activists and LGBT organization representatives the chance to network and collaborate in ways that rarely occur outside a setting like this.
Here are some of the folks I’ve run into during the pre-con and Netroots Nation proper:
I’ve attended all but the first Netroots Nation, and given travel is really tough on me because of my RA, it was the one conference I really wanted to go to because, since I’m based in NC, I don’t get to see a lot of the folks based in NYC, DC and other major media centers. It’s also great to see many of my blogger pals I only see in virtual space.
There is a full bill of panels, many of them livestreamed.

Great, Pam!
Did everyone congratulate themselves on the excellent showing,48 hours ago?
Hi Pam,
Welcome to my world, the smallest state in the Union – RI. We are the most liberal state, the most Democratic state despite also being the the Catholic state per capita. This is probably because our founder Roger Williams was all about separation of Church and State. I hope you enjoy your stay here and get to see more than just Providence. If not, I welcome you back anytime to see the rest that RI has to offer.
