Veterans killed in action? You lost me there.
I agree. Needs clarification or word change to “armed services members.”
However, in the sense of deceased veterans who were LQBTQ, has anyone seen a study that tried to determine what percentage or veterans who commit suicide might have been gay?

No. There are active military and there are veterans of active military service. A veteran has left active service. He or she is a veteran of active service. His or her needs must be directed to the Veterans’ Administration which was set up to aid those who have left active service and are now veterans.
