Talk show host David Pakman had an email exchange with the web designers of the Pastor Charles Worley‘s Providence Road Baptist Church’s website, Stonewall Consulting, LLC. The organization didn’t want to participate in an interview, but in the e-exchange:

Their answer was not reaffirming of gay rights, to say the least. They also said they don’t think the clip of Worley saying kill gays in electrified pens was representative of his beliefs. The email is contained in this clip:

The web site designer claims the church site, which is now down, was hacked.

In another clip, David interviewed a lesbian mom who attended 20 of Pastor Charles Worley’s sermons, and she indicated that anti-homosexual sentiment was common and regular at church sermons. Gee, why would she put herself and her family through THAT? Apparently she has a family member who is part of the congregation. Hear her comments.

And over at Good As You, Jeremy uncovered another gem from Worley. In 1978, he preached that ‘Forty years ago they would’ve hung [homosexuals], bless God, from a white oak tree’. Jeremy:

The truly remarkable thing? Of all of his old sermons, *this* is one that someone at his church felt worthy of posting to the Internet for posterity’s sake.
