When I clicked over to see the GOP Rev. Wright battle plan to defeat Obama), I burst out laughing at the title page — love the epic title “The Defeat of BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA: The Ricketts Plan to End His Spending for Good.” These clowns have to be smoking something.
I mean come on, is this old, tired smear the best they can do to try to weasel Mittens into office? I sh*t you not, this is what you’ll find if you bother to read the 50+ page plan. (NYT):
The plan, which is awaiting approval, calls for running commercials linking Mr. Obama to incendiary comments by his former spiritual adviser, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., whose race-related sermons made him a highly charged figure in the 2008 campaign.
“The world is about to see Jeremiah Wright and understand his influence on Barack Obama for the first time in a big, attention-arresting way,” says the proposal, which was overseen by Fred Davis and commissioned by Joe Ricketts, the founder of the brokerage firm TD Ameritrade. Mr. Ricketts is increasingly putting his fortune to work in conservative politics.
The $10 million plan, one of several being studied by Mr. Ricketts, includes preparations for how to respond to the charges of race-baiting it envisions if it highlights Mr. Obama’s former ties to Mr. Wright, who espouses what is known as “black liberation theology.”
The group suggested hiring as a spokesman an “extremely literate conservative African-American” who can argue that Mr. Obama misled the nation by presenting himself as what the proposal calls a “metrosexual, black Abe Lincoln.”
You see, when that party can’t offer anything in the sphere of “jobs, jobs, jobs,” they will go the fear and smear route. I’m glad this sh*te is out in the open. It’s preposterous, but should be taken seriously. Low-info voters — and the GOP knows how to corral and seduce them with 30 second ads — may not bother to question why they are being fed this crap. One would hope that they would prefer to focus on how the GOP and Mitt Romney plan to put them back to work.
I wonder what “extremely literate conservative African-American” they have in mind to pimp out on this venture?

If they still make a point of using his middle name I assume that they are crackpots. That’s all they have, aside from the usual proving that they don’t know what the words “Marxist”, “socialist”, “long form birth certificate” mean so they should be ridiculed for that and how gullible they are for believing that nonsense. Maybe they won’t gather so many even more gullible followers that way. Crying about the liberal media just deserves a simple point and laugh.

Hmm… the last time I checked, Obama was a gay Nazi socialist liberal Black Panther Marxist Muslim atheist abortionist from Kenya with communist leanings that’s going to take away guns from all Americans.

They may be desperate, but they also know how to use sound bites to persuade the gullible masses, and that’s the scary part.
All this crap, plus what just happened in NC, makes me truly ashamed to be an older white male.
I agree- the number of gullible voters is the scary element to all of this.
Right now, I think polls are showing that Mittens and the President are surprisingly close in supporters, which is about to keep me up at night.
I understand that any society has its ignorant citizens, but it’s getting to where people are proud to be ignorant- even defiant in their determination to be so!
Don’t be ashamed to be who you are- unless you’re an “older white male” who happens to have 100s of $million and pays a pittance of that in taxes and think that you understand what life it really like for the rest of us, while parading your Cadillac-corralling wife around in a $900 t-shirt.

When I first saw the photo, and the tagline “The Ricketts Plan to End His Spending for Good,” what immediately popped into my head was “… and to Institute Our Spending for Evil!”
