Oh, please. Will he ever give it a rest? Who the F cares what this fool digs up? “News site” WND publishes every breathless utterance by Arizona’s barely-tethered-to-reality Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County.
Now it has been revealed that the Cold Case Posse assembled by Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Maricopa County, Ariz., cannot confirm yet that Obama was not born in Kenya and brought to the United States as a days-old infant for his birth to be registered in Hawaii.
The reason? Missing records.
Speculation has held that Obama actually was born in Kenya, and as the son of an American woman and Kenyan father, probably would not have been considered under any circumstances to be a “natural born citizen” of America, as the Constitution demands for presidents.
It’s been revealed that the Kenyan government actually investigated that possibility earlier, without conclusive results.
Now Arpaio’s team, which was assembled to work on a volunteer basis after hundreds of constituents expressed fear that Obama was having his name put on the 2012 election ballot in Arizona using a fraudulent document, has reported that it checked to determine whether a young mother arrived in the United States from Kenya in the days after Obama’s reported Aug. 4, 1961, birth date.
Well the President IS half-Kenyan, because of his dad, but that’s not what Arpaio’s getting at – it’s that Barack Obama is a foreigner no matter what proof emerges to the contrary, continuing the meme that the President is some sort of African/Muslim Manchurian Candidate ready to destroy America. I wonder who has the secret signal. Someone please page Angela Lansbury…
Birther boy Arpaio, based on the amount of time he spends focusing on the President’s origins, clearly has no business to attend to in his county.

How does one stay polite as you note that our Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County has a few cards missing from his deck?
Having an American mother would make him a natural born citizen regardless of where the birth occurred.
If he was born in Kenya, the game only gets interesting if the Sheriff can show Ann was not his mother.
Jeez. The sheriff has not only lost his fastball, but can no longer get his breaking stuff over the plate.
Clearly, no one should play cards around the President.
Makes you wonder what sort of skeletons are in his closet that he feels he must try to direct one’s attention away from them.

They also forget that John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone. Granted it was at a US base to American parents but they seem to like to split hairs over Obama so why aren’t they so fussy about McCain? I can’t imagine why.

Considering how UN-American and psychotic the current group of GOP politicians is, I say we should ONLY allow foreign born citizens to run for elected office. Chances are they’ll possess a little humility and won’t feel it’s their duty to destroy the 99% in order to help the rich get richer.
Um… Barack Obama was born of an American citizen mother who, at no time, ever gave up her citizenship.
As a direct consequence, no matter where on the planet he may have been born (although there is ample and abundance evidence this took place in Hawaii), Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen, and ‘natural born’ at that.
Unless there are people who’d care to argue that John McCain also was not eligible, since he wasn’t even born in the U.S., but in Panama?

This isn’t that hard to understand. Arpaio’s performance is under investigation by the Department of Justice. The report charges serious misconduct up to and including possible criminal acts. I suspect that the Sheriff knows that Holder’s DOJ has refused to prosecute people who can, in some way, threaten the President politically. So, when the Sheriff does his best to threaten the President politically, it is not a long leap to conclude that he is seeking the same sort of justice that has been afforded the banksters.

I lived in Arizona and even met the man, when he was just playing Sheriff and not being such a dipsh–. However, I have seen pictures of him talking and laughing with known skinhead Nazis. The man is in charge of true hate group that is as dangerous as many on the FBI watch list and SPLC’s list. I guess that being an officially-elected law-enforcement officer somehow exempts him and his department from being put on the hate-group list. That’s not very comforting to know.

You’re actually not quite right. I absolutely believe the Obama was born in Hawaii and is qualified to be President.
But the requirement is not just that one of your parents be an American citizen who never renounced their citizenship. There are also residency requirements.
At the time of Obama’s birth, if you were born abroad, if only one of your parents was an American citizen, that parent must have lived in the US for at least 10 years, at least five of which were after the age of 16 (unless you or your parents were in military or diplomatic service and stationed abroad.) Ann Dunham was only 18 when Barack was born, and therefore could not possibly have lived in the US for 5 years after her 16th birthday. If he had been born overseas, like Kenya, he would not automatically have been born a US citizen.
(If both of your parents hold US citizenship when you are born abroad, the residency requirements are much looser – essentially, one of your parents actually had to live in the US at some point.)
None of this applies if the child is actually born on US soil – as Hawaii was at the time of Barack Obama’s birth.
He’s a natural born citizen, but it really is by virtue of where he was born.
The arguments are really, really moot. He’s at the end of a 4 year term, the endless questions on his citizenship were moot the day he took his oath of office.

McCain was born in Panama and IMO, is even less qualified by birth than Obama to be president.
Arpio is just trying to spin the DoJ’s investigation in to his actions to be a political witch hunt on him becasue ‘he knows the truth’. The DoJ needs to stop molly coddling him and just bust his ass and lock him up with that pink underwear he loves so much.
Considering what these people are, and what they’re really bothered over, we’re probably lucky they have a foreign-born dad to complain about.
If both of Obama’s parents were born in the US, they’d have to had to skip right over his birth certificate and gone straight to “Anti-Christ.”
