I put this in the “can they hear themselves?” category, because I find it hard to believe that Gary Randall endorses the fundamental principle of American liberty that the rights of the minority should never be subject to the whims of the majority.
In a blog post today Randall, a sponsor of the referendum effort to repeal Washington’s new marriage equality law, says that “The nature of marriage should not be defined by popular whim“.
Then he invites the reader to “Please join us in circulating petitions to defend marriage in Washington State“. In other words, he invites readers to join him in subjecting Washington’s marriage law to popular whim.
Unbelievable.

I can’t imagine what it must be like to have so much hate in one’s heart.
Actually, they can hear themselves but not the voices of rational people, for they have special filters on their ears which prevent anything other than bigotry from entering their ear canals. Same sort of filters for their vision. Makes it so much simpler than having to use their brains to THINK.
Unfortunately, all too believable.
On so many issues, the theologically driven abandon whatever critical thinking skills they might have had when it comes to S-E-K-S. This is one reason why they also believe that the cure to unwanted pregnancies is to eliminate access to birth control.
