Nobody expects anti-gay pastor Ken Hutcherson to agree with Gov. Christine Gregoire’s decision to champion marriage equality legislation in Washington. But this goes beyond the pale.
She might as well change her name to John Wilkes Booth because what she’s doing now is trying to put a bullet in the head of one of the greatest traditions that has ever existed and has built our society, and that is marriage between one man and one woman.
How do you equate support of extension of civil rights to the assassination of a sitting president? Hutcherson has just gone too far. If the governor is assassinating anything, it’s state-sponsored bigotry.
Let’s look at Massachusetts or any other state that has marriage equality — have straight people there stopped marrying? No. Hutcherson’s use of such hyperbole shows how desperate and factually challenged his campaign against marriage equality is.
Watch the Q13 News video that features Hutcherson’s statement after the fold.

JeeZUS! Does he think we should go back to slavery, which is another one `of one of the greatest traditions that has ever existed and has built our society` and also supported by the Bible, eg
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, 8because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

HotFlash is right, but by his logic he supports polygamy because that’s in the bible too. Solomon or David and their one wife each? Hardly.
Some people are bigots, some people are crazy, & some people are hateful. Hutcherson appears to be all three.
The more we win, the more they escalate the bile of their rhetoric, and the more they push less irrational people to our side.
In other words: Keep preachin’ the hate, Kenny, ’cause you’re winning us allies and yourself eternal damnation, and that’s just the right mix for justice and equality in Washington.
Abraham had children by two women; Jacob by four (only two of which were his wives.) In fact, men in the Bible almost always had multiple women with whom they could have legitimate offspring, monogamy was very much the exception.
Governor Gregoire is a member of the Confederate Secret Service with direct ties to Jacob Thompson’s Canadian operation from St Lawrence Hall in Montreal? Who’d have guessed?
And an investor in oil drilling in Western Pennsylvani, to boot…
