It just goes to show you that even a single personal Tweet can boost visibility of the campaign to defeat the marriage discrimination amendment here in NC. Cate Edwards (@Cate_Edwards), daughter of Elizabeth Edwards and the president of the foundation that bears her mother’s name, has extended her support for equality and against bigotry. Protect NC Families will definitely be in touch, Cate!
And in case you missed it, Neighbors for Equality is in the midst of its 12 Days of Equality Campaign that has staff, volunteers, and supporters submitting videos talking about why equality matters to them.
You can participate by uploading a video on YouTube, discussing why equality matters to you and why you’re voting against the North Carolina anti-equality amendment. Share it on twitter with the hashtag #12daysofequality or post it on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/neighborsforequality.

You really think having anyone named Edwards speaking out on the issue of marriage is helpful? Really??? Ugh…we are so gonna lose.
Cate Edwards speaking in favor of marriage equality is terrific!
Firstly, while couples are very fortunate if their marriages last healthfully a lifetime, human reality does not allow that to be the case for all couples gay or straight. Our bigoted enemies use statistics about brief gay relationships, as though those statistics were justification for denying marriage equality. Cate is an independent adult now — yet the public had a great deal of affection and admiration for her mother. Elizabeth Edwards is remembered as a figure of reason and compassion.
It is just absolutely wonderful that Senator James Forrester croaked — now his nasty bigot ballot must die too.
