The ramping up of the persecution complex by obsessive gay-hating fundies like Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association begins as the Values Voter Summit approaches. It is some serious Bullsh*ttery out the wazoo, via People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch, which will be there covering every last moment of that conference so you don’t have to.
Video #1: Bryan discusses with senior fellow Peter Sprigg, why TEH HOMOs must suppress their sexual orientation.
[Fischer says] his anti-gay outlook represents a “more noble view of humanity” than the worldview of gay rights advocates. Sprigg went on to say that “in terms of their identity, we as Christians believe that every human being is born in the image of God, and to be born in the image of God is a far higher and better thing than for anyone to be born gay”
Video #2: Bryan says he’s just telling the truth, not fomenting bigotry. He’s so misunderstood, isn’t he?
Fischer also addressed People For the American Way’s letter to Mitt Romney and the New York Times story on the issue that asked why Romney is appearing directly before Fischer, despite his virulent anti-gay, anti-Muslim, anti-Native American and anti-Mormon rhetoric. Fischer said that he has “done nothing but tell the truth about homosexuality, about gay rights, about Muslims and Mormons,” and that when you “tell the truth, as far as the left concerns, [it is] unmitigated bigotry.”

Ughhhh… the idea that anti-gay Christians are living more nobly because they’re denying animal urges nauseates me. How noble are the higher divorce rates in heavily evangelical states? How noble is it for Sprigg and Fischer to constantly lie about LGBT people?
So, Sprigg and Fischer, God appears to be asexual. So if we are born in his image, then why aren’t YOU ascribing to be asexual like he is????
If only the first amendment protected psychosis…
They aren’t biased at all, because they are doing it for God and aren’t charging any money for any of this, right?
We’re born in the image of god? Do they know what god looks like? Has anyone ever come back from the dead to say “it” exists? Last time I checked, I was born in the image of my parents who created me, not some imaginary sky pixie.
It does. Just watch the vids.
(still learning how to do this) My comment that the first amendment does protect psychosis goes to QScribe’s post.
Well, Bryan, you obnoxious, lying gasbag, when it comes to the LGBT’s, Native Americans, Muslims, and non-christians, you have done everything BUT tell the truth! But, of course, in your perverted book of wisdom, lies are OK as long as their told in the name of your invisible friend in the sky.
Whatever happened to that thing about bearing false witness? Oh that’s right, it doesn’t apply to you because you’re “special.”
Fischer does not believe that the First Amendment protects any religion other than Judeo-Christian ones. The Mormon campaign of trying to gain acceptance by sucking up to the evangelicals by hating us “more than thou” failed, they still are not protected by Amendment 1, according to Bryan. I would imagine that if push came to shove, Catholics would not be either.
Take note, Governor Perdue, of the company that you are keeping….
