I just had to bring this up again because the GOP field is so full of WIN when it comes to entertainment value. Ex-gay proponent Marcus Bachmann, with his his missus running for Prez. You can't make this sh*t up.
On a more serious note, a reader emailed this in; Bachmann should probably answer a few questions about that practice.
Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann's husband, Dr. Marcus Bachmann, runs a federally funded, Christian, anti-gay mental health clinic. Readers want to ask him . . .
1. Who licenses your clinic?
2. Who regulates (supervises) your clinic?
3. How many federal dollars did your clinic and clients spend so far?
4. Does spending federal funds this way violate the separation of church and state?
5. Who insures your clinic in the event that therapy fails, or that clients are harmed?
6. How many gay-to-straight conversion therapies succeeded vs. failed?
7. How many patients suffered?
8. Were any suicides successful, or attempted, or threatened?
9. What relapse rates are seen via your follow-up program?Bachmann and Associates, Inc.

I agree with your question list. Does he bill Medicaid and/or Medicare to practice his Christian gay reparitive therapy? Do legitimate insurance providers reimburse him so he can guide people away from “sin” under the guise of practicing medicine?
How many “therapists” do insurance providers, like Blue Cross Blue Shield support while they commit terrorist acts against our community and our kids?
This example serves as a good flashpoint to ask insurance companies this: are you supporting discredited therapy techniques that have been shown to cause more harm than good?
How dare anyone suggestthat Marcus Bachmann be victimized by being held accountable for what he does? Ex-gay “counselors” never answer questions about follow-up, evidently because they never do any. But that is perfectly sensible, because Jesus cures those miserable sinners once and for all, permanently; to even suggest otherwise is blasphemy!
Marcus should not let himself be victimized by even attempting to answer any of these questions. Like NOM, his “counseling” center is Christian and therefore above the law and beyond any need to be accountable, law-abiding or even minimally responsible. He is a true hero, fighting valiantly to
protect his closetuphold the will of the Most High. Sure, he probably commits a bit of fraud along the way but I beg you: focus on the larger picture. Repent your evil demands for accountability and obey the Lord! Leave Marcus alone!Gay Marriage and BachmannHow can Michelle Bachmann be against gay marriage when she is in one?

I bet Michelegives him all of the discipline and education he needs, the little barbarian…
I usually don’t agree..…when we call those who are anti-gay gay themselves. But whoa…from sound alone, the gay is strong with this one. Seriously, the man sounds like Nathan Lane.
“Bondage” “Discipline” …“Education” “Barbarians” Sounds like someone’s been spending time with Porno Pete at the Folsom Street Fair.
