Hot in the inbox from the WH…the blog post is here. As you can see, it leads off with Deputy Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement (aka the LGBT liaison) Brian Bond.
Inspired by President Obama’s It Gets Better video, several LGBT White House staffers decided to add their voices to the project. President Obama has more LGBT appointees than any previous administration and he is committed to making his administration reflect the diversity of our nation.

A joke? This is Christmas, not April Fool’s Day. Any statement from anyone at this White House should say: ”It gets better for all you perverts whose relationships are just like incest and pedophilia. But not on our watch. God’s in the mix. Not the constitution, the mix. So there.”
Oh lighten up!Lighten up and smile. ;P
Wow, this was EXCELLENTIt was good and necessary that the President and other top officials who are straight made videos and speak out in other ways, but I think it is so much more meaningful to hear the first-hand stories of actual gay people working in the White House. Well done.
I have a song for the WH Staff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
harshWhite House staff aren’t responsible for the shortcomings of their boss. And despite his shortcomings I gave him credit too for making his own video. The message is independent of the politics of the messenger, meaning that kids seeing this video or the president’s will see that the message of ‘it gets better’ is true when they see all those gay people who had difficulties coming out working in the White House. And that is all that matters here – helping kids through the through the tough times.
Extremely HarshYou really need to grow up.
Another member of the Can’t Take “Yes” For an Answer contingent around here.Sarcastic. Negative. Blah.
Brian Bond and the rest: You are part of the problemAs long as the White House fights tooth and nail to defend the Denial of Marriage Act, as long as his legal representatives compare loving same sex relations to pedophilia and bestiality in their filings, as long as Obama continues to dig in and drag his feet against actually ending the discharges under Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell… He is part of the problem. He is part of the reason why school officials allow bullying to continue. He is part of the reason why LGBT youth and adults continue to take their lives. He is part of the reason why the culture of hate and bigotry continues to thrive unmitigated in this country.
And you, Mr. Bond, are a quisling: a person aiding and abetting culture of hate and bigotry by working for Obama and helping to promote his agenda. YOU, sir, are part of the problem too, and no amount of posturing for the camera and mouthing platitudes will make any damned difference.
If you really want things to get better, then MAKE THINGS BETTER. If you cannot change the views and policies of your boss, then get the hell out of the way for someone who can.
But they are helping to promote the White House’s policies against equalityA quisling is a quisling, whether you are a Norwegian politician willing to be a Nazi puppet in exchange for power or a LGBT political aide willing to be an avowed bigot’s puppet in exchange for power.
Ding, Ding, Ding
and your projection is way too loud.
