As more DADT repeal news trickles into our breaking thread, let’s take a break.
Look at the stupid – and how it burns like the white-hot fire of the sun in the form of failed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell. (The Hill via TPM):
Christine O’Donnell on Tuesday compared the “tragedy” of extending unemployment benefits to Pearl Harbor and the death of Elizabeth Edwards.“Today marks a lot of tragedy,” O’Donnell, who lost her recent bid for a Delaware Senate seat despite strong backing from the Tea Party, said Tuesday night during an appearance in Virginia.
“Tragedy comes in threes,” O’Donnell said. “Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards’s passing and Barack Obama’s announcement of extending the tax cuts, which is good, but also extending the unemployment benefits.”

Tea bagging at its best!… 13 months benefits for the unemployed, 2 years tax cuts for the wealthiest .. is that what the tea baggers stand for? Did they seriously get organized to make sure that the wealthiest 10% pay less taxes? What an army of zombies!
So, what does Christine O’D think should happen to the unemployed? I bet she has the dream of sending the unemployed to Alaska so that Sarah P. can hunt them on her show …
They should all emigrate to Mexicoand push back the hordes at the border, of course
Yes. Yes, they did.
That’s what most conservative astroturf groups are about, isn’t it? Well, that an eliminating the vestiges of regulation when it comes to business.
Aren’t her 15 minutes up yet?
Many aren’t having it extended at allThere’s still the same 99 week cap.
The extension just means that those not near the cap get a bit longer, and those newly unemployed have 99 weeks instead of 26.
Those most in need, the long-term unemployed, are out of luck. Look at the fine print, this is smoke and mirrors.
I must’ve missed whatever happened at Pearl Harbor yesterdayYou know, to really fill out COD’s concurrent tragedy threesome.
