Update2 from Kate: “I am with Pam now — she is in her hospital room looking great but very tired and somewhat sore, in spite of meds. She is excited as the surgeon took pics during surgery and gave her copies. Thanks to all 4 good vibes and thoughts sent our way today.”
Update: Kate just emailed to say that Pam is out of surgery and in recovery. The surgeon said she did well!

AfterElton’s Morning Memeincluded a shoutout and best wishes to Pam. We’re all keeping you in our thoughts today, Pam and Kate.
Woohoo! What’s all this nonsense about “recovery”? We need you!
Hugs! Get better soon.
Oh excellent! Thanks for both putting this wonderful list together, Wonder Twin, and for the update that Pam is out of surgery and okay!
Great news!Fingers crossed for a full, rapid recovery.

You’re awesome Pam!May all the gods bless you!
Hope you’ll tell us all about it. I have to get the same surgery in another year or so.
WOW! …Just… WOW!The above blogswarm is merely a scratch of the surface of the love and respect we ALL have for you, Dear Pams. The fact that they are Cream of the Blogosphere Crop simply proves that you are our “Princess Diana”… Regal, yet accessible and oh so genuine. There is emotion, gratitude and respect in every word. No small feat in a world of soundbites and a near dearth of intelligent writing — no matter the media.
TO FELLOW BLENDERS: Whether you are sending “good vibes” or positive Karma or even prayer, I embrace and appreciate you as One of Me, as together we uplift Pam as One of US as we own and possess our sense of Right and Good as anyone else may profess.
That’s what being Good People is all about.
TO KATE: I send to you my better angels to guard and comfort you, M’dear… I’m not needing them much right now.
Namaste.
Good news …… and hearty wishes for a pleasant and speedy recovery.
best wishes from across the PondAll the best, Comrade!
(greatBIGHUGEhuggles)Relax and take a break Pam, but get well soon so you can come back and blog some more!

A big warm hugto both of you girls, Pam, I´m happy you have Kate with you, I know hoe important it was to have my husband by my side wen I was in a hospital. And Kate dear don´t let our blogmistress get TOO excited.
Big kisses from us here in Rio.

I am alive and almost kickingI have been on FB and Twitter today w/updates. They anticipate discharge tomorrow if I can walk the ward and handle th bathroom. So far I am on percocet every 4 hrs. Moderate pain, but ok. Have been able to eat vegetabled and salad.
So many thanks for the loving blogswarm. It is overwhelming!
I think I may have wonthe “how long until she tweets” pool, lol. So happy to hear you’re doing so well.
“I am alive and almost kicking”
That is the best news!
A perfect and speedy recovery to you Pam!Very glad to hear the surgery went as expected.
If you are still in pain at the Hospital, be sure to tell your doctor or nurse — there may be more they can do for you in the pain-management department. Many doctors under-prescribe pain medication due to outmoded ideas on the subject. You shouldn’t have to suffer too much pain needlessly. That’s basically the APA’s new position.
Anyhow, just very happy that things went well!
Saw your tweets on BR use…You no doubt know you’re in my thoughts. Recover quickly, in the sense of “Get Well Soon!”
In all fairness to PamHospitals have really lousy Wi-Fi connections in the surgical units!
Oh, we could have set it all up as a “CoverItLive” chat event and invited the surgical team to post, as well as had instant polls!
Pam- can’t tell you how happy I am all went well. Pals here can report my head was NOT “on” at all the entire morning; kept myself super busy as to be away from computer and not have time to worry… huge relief to know the diabetes didn’t kick in and complicate things. Oh, the joys of remembering my hospital blood banking lab days…
