That weaselly semi-retraction was the most foolish move she could have possibly made. Now neither side will have any respect for her. She has just destroyed her chances of ever being able to say anything on the subject again.
That husband of hers is a notorious bully and misogynist. There’s only one explanation for this turn of events. He had to have bullied her. And no doubt thrown in the C-word a few times. It’s just sad if she doesn’t feel she’s able to stand up to him and tell him to go to hell at moments like this.

Maybe she’s the one who keeps track for him of how many houses he owns.
