I just thank goodness I already detested Elton John.The coke-addled little toupe-model has never been much of a feather in our caps. And he can write a song in an hour: it sure sounds like it.

What a waste of a potential role modelElton had some songs I liked in the 70′s, but by ’80 or so he’d pretty much dried up. I was kinda liking the idea of him being a gay role model as a second act, but the reality of it is that he’s pretty much a sellout. I haven’t really trusted him since his duet with Eminem, and this kinda seals the deal for me.

He’s got hisHe’s rich and cocooned from the reality of queers less fortunate.  That he hasn’t used his fame and influence to help the GLBT communities is truly sad.  To slightly misquote Tennessee Williams: “Blow out your candle, Elton, and so, goodnight.”

I loathed Elton John back in the 1970s. I thought he was fake and consumer product obsessed.Then I reconsidered and tried to like his music and him and even kind of sort of liked some of his songs….but it turns out that my teenage self was right all along. He’s a consumer product obsessed materialistic narcissist.

“Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery,” Luke 16:18.
Mark 10:11, “Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”
And adultery is one of the 10 Effing Commandments. So it’s a biggy.
Rush is a 3 time adulterer now and that’s facilitated by a “Christian” pastor who doesn’t even know the words of his Jesus.
