According to Gay Krant, a special condom for teens has hit the market in Switzerland. Research has shown that teens 12 to 14 years old increasingly are having sex, and frequently it is unsafe sex. The new condom is 5 millimeters smaller in diameter than the standard model (1.7 inches rather than 2.0 inches).
According to the Swiss research, a regular condom is too big for one in four youths of that age and can slip off. At that age, the penis is not always fully grown.
The new prophylactic, produced by the Swiss-based company Lamprecht AG, is called ‘Hotshot’ and is available at pharmacies and on the website of the Swiss AIDS Federation. It is not currently available outside Switzerland.

The Swiss have always been good at miniaturization…
Just look at the inside of any complicated Patek watch – hundreds of tiny parts…
If Only America Was This AdvancedIt’s nice that the Swiss are so forward thinking to acknowledge that their 12-14 year olds are having sex, as much as society tries to tell them not to. Unfortunately, so many people in America still cry foul about pre-marital sex to such an extreme level that we can’t have a rational discussion about providing children with contraception here. Thankfully, Pres. Obama has put a stop to federal funding of abstinence only education. It’s a step, but only a small one.

A friend of mine had the ideayears ago for smaller condoms — he named them ‘Lil’ Skippers.’ The packaging would have a nautical theme.
