The road to passage of New Mexico’s domestic partnership bill (SB183) has been long, rocky and harrowing. And it isn’t over yet. But as the current 30-day legislative session winds down, this year’s version of the bill is finally expected to get its long-awaited Senate Finance Committee hearing on Monday. From Equality New Mexico:

As you can see, we are in full swing of what happens during a legislative session. The Senate Finance Committee is changing their minds about the time of the hearing and we are doing our best to keep you informed. The committee hearing will be TOMORROW MORNING for SB183, Domestic Partnerships. This is the time to show up and let legislators know the importance for passing domestic partnership legislation and opposing the joint resolution defining marriage in New Mexico.SJR1 – Marriage Defined, CA
