I come backafter three weeks with no internet to find out we lost my grandfather’s home state. At last there’s still hope for my grandmother’s home state.
let’s do it for grandma!i have no clue what the odds of success are in new jersey, but the odds after chris chrisie becomes governor in january are less, so it is definitely worth every effort we can make now.
How easily can marriage equality be rescinded if approved in 2009?How soon would marriage equality be effective if approved? And since New Jersey doesn’t have a referendum process, how easy would it be for the legislature and Governor elect Christie to rescind it?
If the legislature has enough votes to approve itI believe it would be highly unlikely that they would turn around and rescind it.
Doesn’t make any sense.
just wrote my state legislatorsmy senator in particular is being wishy washy on this issue…good news is that she is being bombarded with letters from virtually everyone I know around here!
One thing about NJ…unlike NYNew Jersey already has civil unions. And believe that in NJ (possibly more than anyplace else) it could actually be shown that separate is inherently unequal.
This will be interesting but…I have to admit to a great amount of skepticism that this will pass.
TROLL
Sorry I just don’t have the energy left to mount an ounce of optimismThe downside afterwards is too hard. So good luck NJ and I’ll watch from a distance.
