Today is the day! Here’s some great advice from campaign buddy Josh:
Please make sure to mail in that ballot ASAP if you haven’t yet and keep on your friends & family all through today to vote. Call them, text them, email them, FB them, show up at their house, bang on their windows. Its too critical to sit this one out! Let’s make sure we can call this an Approve 71 VICTORY PARTY!!!
Yes, party! Join us Election Night at a party in your area. Here’s the list. The Seattle party will be broadcast live starting at 8:00 PM. Video feed is below the fold, or you can watch here.
You can follow @ApproveRef71 on Twitter throughout the day today and on Facebook.
Results of King Co. mail ballots counted on election day will be posted at 8:15 pm over here. Statewide results will be posted here starting at 8 pm. (thx Tech Bear!)

Results will start to be posted at 8pm PST, when the “polls close.” (Never mind that the state has eliminated polls.)
thanks!I updated the links above. There are still some polls in Pierce Co. and also voting stations for people with disabilities. But yeah, essentially it’s a ballot drop deadline rather than a literal “polls closed” time.
Woo-hoo!Go Lurleen!
Just getting settled into my room at Holiday Inn; saw Jesse C speaking w/press (WMTW) in the lobby, so knew I was at the right place!
Lurleen the polls seem to be at your back59% APPROVE, your extraordinary work is paying off, I couldn’t be happier.

On a side note, I’m really proud of our local government that they’ve developed tools like this to support good citizenship.
I live in Oklahomabut I “bugged” my nice gentleman friend in Washington state to be sure and drop off his ballot in the mail today.
If you would indulge me. My IM with him last night.
Me: Hey are you voting tomorrow?
Friend: No
Friend: voting for?
Me:There are some referendums up for vote
Him: (Scratches chin emoticon)
Me: Referendum 71
Him: I don’t know what that one is.
Me: It’s to keep the domestic partnership law on the books
Him: Oh ok, I seen that one on the TV
Me: It’s a good law to keep.
Him: Ok
Him: (scratches chin emoticon)
Me: http://approvereferendum71.org/
Me: It’s not just about lesbian and gay relationships. There are lots of straight couples with domestic partnerships.
Him: I think everyone should have equal rights
Me: (hug emoticon)
Him: don’t you think?
Me: Yes
Me: Do you have the ballot?
Him: Not on hand.
Me: Yeah. Equal repersontation.
He: Representation
Me: I can’t spell sometimes
Me: lol
Him: (silly emoticon)
Me: If you can get it in the mail tomorrow (Tuesday) that would be cool.
Him: Sure
Him: (hug emoticon)
Me: Thanks sweetie
Him: (angel emoticon)
Me: (hug emoticon)
Him: (big grin emoticon)
Me: (angel emoticon)
that is so wonderful, thank you!and please thank your gentleman friend. he is indeed a gentleman.
Seattle should be NUTS tonightWhen MN hosted all the Men’s choruses for the first GALA event, Seattle’s chorus I think was larger than San Francisco’s. Either you have a MASSIVE LGBT community, or all of them sing really really well.
wasn’t all Men’s choruses, there was mixed and women’s choruses too
Your welcome LurleenThank you for all your hard work.
Dena
P.S. I’m going to follow up and make sure he drops off his ballot.
I’m sure there’s a Singin’ in the Rain joke in there somewhere…
Although, today is a gorgeous fall day with blue skies and blazing leaves. A perfect day to post a ballot, I’d say.
XX OO>>>> hugs <<<<
a nice day for HATE to losespeaking of nice days, I need to go wash more of the siding on the house(I started yesterday got about 20 feet wide done), beside I’m nervous waiting for results, so I might as well do something useful.
Ah here is my opening… To all Disaffected Roman Catholics…from a friend.
Now this is a good idea. Personally I will do this soon, but right now my MIL is 90, my FIL was Deacon of the Church I was married in…and MIL is supportive fully of my SIL and her female partner. So will be waiting a while to do.
For now I will wear Rainbow/Equality attire and leave a note to same in collection plate of any Catholic function I am forced to attend.
Talked to a friend of mine last nightHaven’t seen her awhile but it seems her school work is in a lapse so she’s actually on Skype for the first time in months.
Me: Man, election day is tomorrow.
Her: Yeah, my ballot’s somewhere in the mail pile.
Me: Err, I need you to vote. Really badly.
Her: Why?
Me: Remember R-71?
Her: …OH! CRAP! When is the deadline?
Me: Tomorrow, sometime around 8PM. You need to vote. _I_ need you to vote.
Her: Damnit, I’ve ignored by ballot the past three years because there wasn’t really anything important on there. Gotta find it! Thanks for reminding me!
woo hoo!great work! make sure she knows the 8 pm deadline is for drop boxes, not mail boxes! if she wants to mail it, she needs to be sure it’ll get postmarked today, not just dropped in a mailbox.
good work, LurleenI’m blogwhoring your work and Louise’s all over Twitter and FB.
Thank you Pam!!!XO to you and the Mrs.
