Perfect first sentence!I was thinking, as I read the title, “No sh*t, Sherlock!!!”
Reid is a disgrace, pure and simple.
It wouldn’t make me sad if he lost his next re-election bid. If that’s what it takes to get the Democrats to move on. I have little faith they’d select anyone much better, but take solace that they would have a hard time finding someone worse.
The Dem caucusshould remove him from the leadership position NOW. Then this type of poll goes away, Reid simply becomes the incumbent Senator for Nevada and will likely win his seat. If not, Reid will likely lose to just about any Independent or Republican who runs against him because he is ” a weak leader.”
That wouldn’t help his prospectsfor re-election a bit. His opponents message would be, “Such a weak Senator, the Dems asked him to step down. How can he do anything for Nevada?”
Reid could try to spin it anyway he wants, but really, which looks more likely to bring home the bacon to Nevada?
1. Deposed leader
2. Current leader
Not that I think most voters give much thought to the nuts & bolts of these more arcane issues. They like someone or they don’t.
Reid has waffled on so many issues, so often and so consistently, just keeping track of all his flip-flops would take a Cray supercomputer. On DADT, public-option health care, name it. But frankly, I think that makes him an apt leader for a Senate and a party that do pretty much the same thing.
We need a real leader in the Senate!Harry Reid is not, was not, and has never been a leader. Weak is a huge understatement! Replacing Harry with someone with a backbone could make a huge difference for everyone in this country.
Reid is a quivering blob of jelloI’ve thought many times of mailing him small potted spine and a pair of TruckNutz.
