More fun in the mailbox…this came in from the “The Washington Times Marketing Showcase“:
Below, please find a message from one of our advertisers, Tea Party Express. Periodically, we receive opportunities we believe you may want to learn about. Please note that the following message does not necessarily reflect the positions of The Washington Times.
The Tea Party Express is back, holding tea party rallies across the country from October 25 – November 11.
Fellow conservatives, please help!
We're now just 6 days until the launch of the “Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day” and we're about to start our TV and radio advertising campaign to get the word out about this effort. The goal of the “Tea Party Express” is to hold the liberal, tax-spend-bailout politicians accountable for all they've done to harm our country – and vote them out of office!
The problem: our national TV ads need to start running this week. Which means we have only 3 days – counting TODAY – to raise the money to pay for the airtime.
These ads are crucial to ensuring that we have big crowds at our Tea Party Express rallies, and that this movement GROWS and shows signs of momentum.
The maximum allowed contribution is $5,000 per individual. Most of you will be able to afford less than that. Whatever you contribute, whether it's $25 or $50 or $100, or a more generous contribution of $250, $500 or $1,000 – I am grateful for your support. Oh, and the cheapest national TV ads are about $3,800 during the daytime. So every 38 people who give $100 or more and we've bought ourselves an additional national TV spot!
Please, help the ”Tea Party Express: Countdown to Judgment Day” fight back against Big Government liberalism by making the most generous contribution you can afford - HERE.
Or, you can mail in a contribution to our headquarters:
Our Country Deserves Better Committee ATTN: Tea Party Project 770 L Street #1020 Sacramento, CA 95814More information on the Tea Party Express can be seen in our new TV video:
If you liked what we did with the first Tea Party Express you're going to love what we have in store for our second effort. It's going to be even bigger and better yet!
So please lend us your support. You can contribute online right now - HERE.
Thank you again for your support. We've got a lot of work to do to take our country back, and we couldn't do it without you!

I’ll be in Louisianaduring the Baton Rouge stop. Maybe I’ll go fuck with em. Or fuck with em at their Tri-Cities stop.
Here’s what I don’t understand about these people…I get that not all of them are Republicans. But I’m just wondering what exactly they think the government SHOULD do.
They don’t like government spending, they don’t like bailouts…do they like economic depressions?
You just don’t get itWhy would you want to “fuck with” someone who is trying to save your great great grand niece’s and nephew’s future and prosperity? Don’t you understand that the government has spent ours and their future and prosperity on imperial wars of aggression? Where is the anti-war movement now that a Democrat is president?
I was opposing the first stimulus package in the latter part of 2008 under Bush before the “teabaggers” ever came on the scene, and nothing has “changed” now that Obama is President; except an increase in the speed and amount of the spending. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
And on top of that, you just don’t seem to understand that taxes are not the biggest problem we have. How about the corruption in NC and Washington? I mean the Dems corruption in NC is way bigger than the Reps…but mostly both sides are as corrupt as the other in NC & Washington. Don’t forget that “black authority figure” Ty Harrell was disgraced out of office and is still facing charges. And Easly is still under investigation.
Here’s an example of the corruption I’m talking about. They say the NC State Employees pension is $4 Billion short. Well here is where the money is. Ask yourself and your State Congressman and Senator “Where’s the money!”
I’m sure most of you will quit reading here as you don’t want to hurt your brain by learning anything on your own. You want the TV to tell you the “truth”. Remember your parents saying to you when you were a kid, “TV rots your brain”? That sentiment has never rang more true than today. Educate yourselves people and make me proud of our kind. Turn off the government/corporation owned TV and put on your thinking bonnets.
Most folks don’t know that the NC Govt has two sets of books – our budget and their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Our budget details how the taxes collected from you and me are spent by our government. And their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report contains our budget numbers and ALL of their revenue and expenses.
According to our government’s own CAFRs, our government makes billions of dollars though private investments.
I compared the North Carolina Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for 2003 and 2008 and found that assets out number liabilities in almost every category.
Example 1:
In 2003, NC Total Govt Funds* assets were $9.9 billion
In 2003, NC Total Govt Funds* liabilities were $7.2 billion ending in a $2.6 billion surplus.
http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 52
In 2008, NC Total Govt Funds* assets were $15.1 billion
In 2008, NC Total Govt Funds* liabilities were $9.4 billion ending in a $5.6 billion surplus.
http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 60
*General Fund, Highway Fund, Highway Trust Fund, & Other Governmental Funds
A gain of $3 billion over five years.
Example 2:
In 2003, NC Non-major Special Revenue Funds** assets were $3.3 billion
In 2003, NC Non-major Special Revenue Funds** liabilities were $1.8 billion ending in a $2.1 billion surplus. http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 158
In 2008, NC Non-major Special Revenue Funds** assets were $4.1 billion
In 2008, NC Non-major Special Revenue Funds** liabilities were $1.4 billion ending in a $2.6 billion surplus. http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 190
**Escheat Fund, Health & Wellness Trust, Tobacco Trust, Higher Edu Bonds, Pub. School Bond Fund, Non-State Public Improvement Bonds, Public School Building Capital Fund, Clean Water Management Trust Fund, etc.
A gain of $500 million over five years.
^^^Right there is $3.5 billion in surplus funds over five years (2003-2008).^^^
Example 3:
2008 NC Component Units*** assets were $27.9 billion.
2008 NC Component Units*** liabilities were $11.3 billion ending in a $16.5 billion surplus.
http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 157
***The Golden Leaf, Inc., UNC System, Comm Colleges, NC Housing Finance Agency, State Edu Asst. Auth., Other Components Units.
Example 4:
2008 Non Major Enterprise Funds**** assets were 163.9 million
2008 Non Major Enterprise Funds**** liabilities were $64.7 million ending in a $99.1 million surplus.
http://www.ncosc.net/financial… page 180
****Public School Insurance, Town of Butner Water & Sewer, NC State Fair, USS NC Battleship commission., etc.
Why isn’t the money from our government’s private investments used to cover our budget deficits and lower our taxes?
These reserves, or surpluses, should be independently audited to determine how much could be freed up to cover our deficits and lower our taxes.
Thanks to Walter Burien http://www.cafr1.com for his dedication to exposing the CAFR.
I just don’t get your nonsenseIf NC is run so badly, why is it one of a handful of states with a AAA bond rating which was reaffirmed earlier this month?
http://www.wect.com/Global/sto…
If it’s such a bad place, why is the state constantly ranked as one of the best places to do business?
Need to save your great great grand niece from a AAA bond rating and a good place to do business?
And corruption? You wanna explain former state GOP Rep. and sexual hypocrite David Almond and how the mainstream media covered up his disgraceful exit from office? That’s corruption and collusion.
Enough feeding the troll for me. Lunch time is over.
A Washington Example of Corruptionhttp://www.google.com/hostedne…
Where’s the money? Why and how did NC come up short of $4 Billion on the State Pension and still keep that rating? http://www.wral.com/news/local…
Can’t argue that NC is a great state. However, I’m sure they and we would benefit more from a lower tax rate.
An AAA bond rating isn’t going to save my great great grand nieces and nephews from the government’s debt. We are bankrupt and will never pay back what we owe. Please book mark this article, maybe even print it and read it again in 10 years and lets see who is right.
My post clearly made my point that I know corruption is on both sides. This blog has so many representations for Reps. corruption, but none for Dems so I provided a few examples. There is only one party; the War Party.
And why don’t you act like an adult and keep the name calling to yourself.
