Here he is, in all his homophobic God-hates-faggots-who-run-the-government glory. Note there is no camera pan to his flock.
This sermon exposes the queers for what they really are. All examples of the queers in the Bible they are raping people. In Sodom & Gomorrah they wanted to rape the angels, right off the Ark Noah was raped by his queer son, etc… The truth is God hates the queers & the Bible makes it clear they are reprobates who have lost their chance to be saved.Leviticus 20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
The truth is our government should follow the Bible & enforce the death penalty for the queers & this world would be a much better place.
This is vile sh*t. You only have to watch a short bit of this to confirm that he has some “issues” related to temptation. He goes off on the idea of looking at men on billboards and the tempatation the images represent. Ummm…OK.

A Pandagon reader added some choice links about AndersonOy, Pastor Anderson is unhinged.
Odd thingThe resonance quality of the room that he is in suggests that there is no one there, listening…..
The Pipsqueaky Way He Cries “Faggots!”sounds like he’s cutting himself as he’s saying it.
Like that stupid black woman wearing the KKK robe on Jerry Springer back in the 90′s, hollering about “niggers”.
There’s a tone to their voices that makes it obvious they’re using a word to degrade other people AND themselves in the same swipe: I call it “stupidity”.
Oh, the ironyIn most cases in the Bible where rape of men against men is mentioned such as with Sodom, women were offered up instead, typically daughters but sometimes wives as well. The offer was often accepted. Also, by raw numbers the Isrealites (Old Testament, so call ‘em “Proto Christians” if you wish) in the Bible raped far more men and women than anyone else mentioned…of course, they were writing about themselves and so may have been bragging.
Then again, if a virgin was raped, their God forced her to marry her rapist so long as he gave her Father 50 pcs of silver. If the father hadn’t already sold her off as a slave. At least raping a slave woman was considered a crime…against her owner, that is.
Oh Gross! The wife is donating breastmilk?
And she’s worried about some AIDS-affected baby getting ahold of it?
I’d be MORE worried about ANY baby getting ahold of that poison – especially if it’s untested, or whatever procedure donors must go through.
With that weird-ass husband of hers most likely screwing other men behind her back, she’s probably got a disease or two by now.
The “icky” factor applies to heterosexuals as well, ZusanaXanadu!
As my Grandma said…The guilty dawg hollers the loudest. This guy drips – not gayness, but real perversion.
Y’know, besides the loathsome content of his sermon, how could anyone stand to listen to that voice for more than five minutes?
How sweet that he uses his bigot grandma’s bible. So if he thinks we’re brute beasts make to be taken and destroyed, does he recommend we be prepared for the BBQ with sauce or the dry rub? What part of the brute sodomite beast does he prefer to nosh on, and can we be prepared Kosher and/or Halal? Enquirering entres want to know.
If you have SkypeAnd a SkypeOut account, give him a call and tell him he should die. The beauty about SkypeOut is it sets the caller ID to 000-012-3456
I could only get thru half of his tiradeNow I want a hot, hot shower, with a hot hot men’s underwear billboard model
I still think he is cuteBut seriously,
Is he really using Genesis 9, the story where Ham sees his father naked and drunk and gets cursed by Noah for it???
Does anyone on the planet even remember that this was the main story for the biblical “God ordained” justification of modern slavery?!? What is that old saying “those who refuse to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it”?
Talk about putting your foot in it!!
I am on his A sh*t listBisexual.
Spiking suicide riskIn the years since losing my partner to suicide, it’s been important to me to separate these facts:
* Anti-gay rhetoric, bullying, and rejection too often take a toll on mental health.
* Depleted or crippled mental health can lead to suicide and other self-harm.
This guy strikes me, though, as daring queer folks to attempt suicide. Youth and young adults in particular will hear that it’s better to be dead than gay.
Tragic.
Pastor Anderson is sparking some ideas of imagesIncluding beautiful billboard models Michaelangelo’s Ingundis and his drunken Noah from the Sistine chapel, maybe I’ll throw in some Victoria Secret’s angels, some Melissa etheridges Angels Would Fall, and Angels In America images. All swirling around a gawking Pastor Stephen.
He needs a therapist…If I had my guessing hat on, which I do, I would say that this guy was molested as a child by a man who was “heterosexual”, which would fall under the “situational” or “opportunistic” molestation categories (yes there are categories). Notice that he goes out of his way to demand that two men could never be turned on by one another (his story of the billboard, his harping on the unnaturalness, etc.). Notice that he calls gays rapist and child molesters and uses the “three stories” of the Bible to support his claim. Well none of those three stories talk about men molesting boys. Two of the stories are a retelling of the same tale in which no men were raped, just attempted, but the men did rape women in one of the re-tellings, and the final story has nothing to do with rape but rather disgracing a father in public for his drunkenness.
His need to bend the stories and outright bearing false witness about them probably lies in the fact that he needs to to justify his hatred at what has happened to him. He needs therapy.
pedestrianWe see before us the underbelly of every “pro-family” organization. This is merely a man who has lost faith in the political process and feels free to speak his mind.
We’ve dealt with hatred like this since the birth of monotheism. I am not shocked. I am prepared to handle apes like this.
No fear, fellow queers. Only solidarity.
In the name of religion…Is it me or there something just plain wrong here?
This kind of vile, hate-filled rhetoric, if done by an average person, would be vigarously condemned in the MSM, apologies demanded, and the person possibly even fired. There are too many recent (frequent?) examples of this to bothere citing here. However, when that VIOLENT hate filled rhetoric is done by a “pastor” in the name of religion, he or she gets a free pass and nothing is done or happens to this bigot.
(And people wonder why I am so discouraged with every so-called religion in general these days and I absolutely refuse to call myself Christian.)
I looked through photos of Pastor Anderson’s churchSeems three very attractive men are ALWAYS around him, at church dinners, at BBQs, even arm wrestling one. He used one of these stooges in a video to show how you convert people door to door.
here’s my first image of Stephen http://img.villagephotos.com/p…
btw. researching these underwear billboard models is a chore…but someone has to do it.
somebody should tell this King James Bible lovin’ guy …That King James I was the biggest fairy of the Reformation. And gave us the KJV.
That’s why I believe in God. S/He must surely have a powerful sense of irony.
I would have thought he’d identify with St. SebastianYou know, naked saint, tied up, “penetrate me, darling, penetrate me!”
See, e.g.,
http://bode.diee.unica.it/~giu…
The passion of St. Teresa also involved arrows and passion, but your mileage may vary.
PodiumHis lectern, which has the letters BS burned into it, looks like it was made in a middle school shop class.
His literalist theology is similar.
It must be hard to function in the modern world with a Bronze Age mindset.
Sam, ya made the arm-sleeves too long!
Here’s a second image http://img.villagephotos.com/p…
?I think this is a really sick person.. cause there is no one in the area other than him.. on the video i hear no coughs or sneezes or sounds of anyone else in the room… I think he’s trying to be a Shock jock preacher … What a looser..
In a couple years of ministryHe’s shown baptising less than ten people
They show Church dinners with maybe two or three 8 foot tables. Most of the children in pictures are Stephen’s and his wife’s 5 kids.
Sounds like this bozo is a Fred Phelps wanna be.The only thing missing is a band of roving inbred relatives with signs.
Steven Anderson beaten & tazed by Border patrol and DPSThis video made me feel so much better after watching that crap above. It almost makes me want to join the Border Patrol just to get a piece of the action.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
HmmmmI wonder what this mental midget would think if he truly read his book of fairy tales and legends.
There’s a section in there which allows for conquering troops to rape all the men of the fallen army in order to further demasculinize them. I how much you wanna bet this closet case wants to be there!
@ guy in underwear billboard signYes, I would actually get the urge to look at the guy. When I see hot guys I think, “Holy Moly Fucking Polly”. I’m always tempted, by nature.
Isn’t the common theme of ex-gay organizations that there is a strong temptation for homosexuality? Where’s he getting his shit?
BS burned into it?Ha! At least there’s no false advertising there.
Of course I remembered itand that should be telling people that there is no functional difference between what these crazy fundies said about black sexuality and what they now say about “gay” sexuality. I made this connection long ago.
I saw that image of Anderson with scrapes on his face….whining to an interviewerI thought it’d be funny to stick his scabbed up face like he’d crawled through barbed wire to get to a Gay Beach.
Here’s the thing Stephen the dunce doesn’t understand about billboardsThe reason humpy men are displayed very eroticly on Billboards is because it reaches the target audiences.
Women and queers. Women buy their husband’s and boyfriend’s undies…and they keep hoping (in vain) that the right pair of boxer briefs will transform their plump and dumpy husband into a ripped GOD.
Gay men buy LOTS of underwear for ourselves and our lovers…because they make us feel sexy. Actually removing the underwear with our teeth, makes us feel sexy…but that mind-image probably wasn’t what ya secretly wanted to hear, was it Stephen?…or was it exactly what you wanted to hear?….hmmmmmm?
UnchristianI can’t listen to this poison, but based on the comments I’m assuming the story of Sodom was retold–to make the wrong point. If he followed Jesus, he would know that the Bible quotes Jesus as saying the sin of Sodom was inhospitality–a matter of life and death to a desert people. Also, as for Leviticus, male rape (like rape of women) was used to humiliate (e.g., prisoners of war), so Leviticus can be read as an intent not to humiliate another person in a sexual way. More to the point, though, Leviticus was a whole series of rules & regs (including on diet, dress, etc.) adopted after a long period of exile which the Israelites interpreted as God’s punishment, so the rules & regs were intended to get keep them right with God. (They kept trying and trying…). Didn’t I see a great “GOD HATES SHRIMP” poster on the blog somewhere? More to the point, the Leviticus code isn’t binding on Christians (only Orthodox Jews try to live according to it today), as Jesus replaced it with the law of love. (And He brazenly flouted the law by gathering food–working–on the Sabbath, saying “The law is made for people, not people for the law.”) Jesus points to a better way to get right with God, one that is open to all.
BTW, yay Lutherans…
Peace,
noahsdad
You should see the clueless members of his congregationThey would have been the first to drink the koolaid in Jonestown.
Some folks are just too gullible for their own good, and will buy absolutely the most BIZARRO bullsh*t anyone with a bullhorn, or homemade podium spews.
Much of the anti-gay comments in the Bible say more about how lowly women were thought ofJewish men have a common morning prayer….”Thank God I wasn’t born a woman.”
The concept was SO outside their patterns of thought (where PATRIARCHY ruled absolutely), that a man of his own free will would submit to being the receiving partner. So to lay with a man as he would with a woman….was demeaning his manhood.
Sodom was absolutely about being INHOSPITABLE to the angels, and the host not providing PROTECTION of a “GUEST-FRIEND”, one of the most sacred duties, in a nomadic people. Anyone under your roof, you protected….this is true in Muslim faith as well.
they don’t call them a flock of sheep, for nuthin’
I hope it comes as reasssuring to Rev. Anderson, bit I have never, not once in my life, been tempted to rape an angel. And neither has anyone I know.
When I think “angel” the first image that comes to mind is Pat Boone in The Greatest Story Ever Told. That’s about as arousing to me as a graham cracker. But maybe Boone is Anderson’s type…
You think he can read, huh?
Researching WAY more than this dweeb deservesHe either owns or works for a fire alarm company. With the bottom falling out of new construction and home market hardest hit in AZ. My guess Stephen and his family of 5 kids is probably near food shelf status. The teeny tiny congregation couldn’t support a volunteer deacon in their homes, (if they have homes.)So his lonely video clips at a lecturn, is his DESPERATE need to make something of himself on YouTube.
The suprised squirrel photoshopped into his rants, would be just the right ridicule of this NOTHING wannabe preacher.
No one is really listening to himWe’re probably the biggest audience that closet case has ever had.
Pastor Anderson’s Dream
I wonder if Stephen ever tried out as a model, when he lived in CA?If he was rejected as not attractive enough, that might explain his fixation on male underwear models. Some queer headshot photographer, or model agent might remember if younger Stephen had this career goal.
Finding his gawky Jr High and High School pics might be amusing.
Here’s his sad little flockMany comments were made about how many more women were in the congregation than men, and accused it of being a CULT.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
The church is described as SMALL = less than 50 members.
I watched WAY too much of his camping trips and other crud. The women and girl group is about 20, if they are the majority, the church is less than 40 people, probably closer to 30.
He’s also a Ron Paulite, tea baggerhe has a big stick up his a$$ about invitro fertilization, believes in no forms of birth control.
Well, here’s a video of him when he was 17…… and he was pretty adorable. You gotta love the bleached-blond highlights!
(If that isn’t gay, I dunno what is.)

Actually, judging from his wife’s blog…… they do a fair amount of travel, so they must be doing pretty okay.
OMFG!Thanks Marvin, that’s hillarious.

(Actually, Jesus says nothing at all about homosexuality, including anything at all about Sodom.)The teaching that the sin of Sodom was inhospitality is found in the one of the prophets of the Old Testament:
(I didn’t quote the entire passage because it’s quite long, but it is a criticism of the impiety of the people of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem is the “you” of the quoted passage.)
Yes, I know this is a vain, shallow, off topic comment I’m about to make, but ….. can I just say that he’s in desperate need of a tailor?
“King James Only”????Shakes head in disbelief……………………………………….
actually, Jesus reportedly did mention Sodom …… but it sort of proves your point.
As for Genesis 19, it is true that the mob wanted to “know” the angels. But, translated into a modern American context, an undocumented alien named Lot had been dwelling in the city, and now here he is receiving strangers of Middle Eastern appearance late at night. The mob wanted to question them, maybe do nasty things to them, but picture this: Jehovah, was, by his own admission, a jealous god. He wouldn’t like having his envoys disrespected, would he?
Ah, I see what you mean.I just never thought of it quite that way because to me those statements read more as ones in passing (albeit relevantly so) than ones where he gave a teaching about what he thought of Sodom and Gomorrah.
No Jehovah wouldn’t have wanted his messengers disrespected. OTOH, my impression is that in that part of the world hospitality to strangers is a big, big obligation and violating it is a HUGE taboo (& I doubt all of it in that Mediterranean region has to do with this one passage because I can remember as a kid reading of an ancient Greek myth that was similar – where Zeus and another god (Dionysus I think) disguised themselves as poor travelers who entered a village and were shown no hospitality. As a punishment for that Dionysus sent a madness among them, or something.)
I think I know where he’s headed
great videosYou know, watching Rev. Manic Eyes do his sermon with the sound off, he has a pretty set dance routine. Two steps left, two steps back, two steps right, two steps back, two steps back from the lectern, &c. It’s like a dancercize session, or something.
Just speeding this up and putting “Do The Hustle” on the soundtrack would really jazz him up. Or the Village People’s “YMCA”.
EstravenHe’s wrong. In Samuel 18:1 to 18:2, after David kills Goliath, he has a very clear gay relationship with Saul’s son Jonathan. God not only does not smite him for this, he makes him the King of all Israel. So it seems that God LOVES a gay man (or maybe bisexual – David marries women along the way).
The point is – what can be done? Does this guy have a boss? or is he a lone wolf? can pressure be put at higher levels of his church?
Except it’s not clear that it’s a sexual relationship.A “covenant” is not a matrimonial ceremony, but a particular form of a contract/agreement. It’s not clear that because they cut a covenant it necessarily meant they did the nasty with each other.
you’d need circumstantial evidenceA mention of their relationship in the Book of Ikea, for instance.
Ah hemWhen Jonathan dies, David laments “Jonathan, by your dying I too am stricken … Very dear you were to me, your love more wonderful to me than the love of a woman.”
Push backThe genocidal pastor is an Independant Baptist. This means his Church is not part of a larger Baptist denomination, and we cannot get any superiors to put pressure on him. The Independent Baptist churches ALL preach against homosexuality, although usually not so vehemently or publically.
But we can get the video removed from YouTube by flagging it as hate speech if enough people do it, as hate speech against LGBT people is illegal on YouTube. We can also try to get him banned by reporting him at:
http://www.youtube.com/safety_…
(it’s a bit of work – I had to wade through 420 videos before I got to “The Truth About the Sodomites”). That will show him that, at least in the larger world, what he is doing is hate speech.
This fruit cake has some major internal conflictsSteve Anderson is a psychopath. I wouldn’t be surprised if the border patrol incident wasn’t planned so he could get some free publicity and also be punished for his lustful thoughts toward men. He ranks right up there with Ted Haggard.
SO glad you quoted that passageFundies never do.
I don’t know if Pastor Anderson changed his nameHe was listed as Steven L Andeson, now it’s STEPHEN.
This “pastor” has no college trainingHis only claim as a minister is he claims he has several books of the New Testament memorized.
Stevie, Honey, you might memorize every baseball stat back 100 years, it doesn’t mean you are an All Star player.
Pastor Bleach BlondeAlso did a video on Women in the Church, but I admit it was too tedious after two minutes to continue watching.
He also regularly attacks other preachers or other televangelist’s shows…..seems like a publicity seeking stunt.
look at me, look at me
Pastor NarcissistI agree, some of those videos I had to wade through were of him reciting parts of the Bible from memory. Like, who CARES!??! How narcissitic can you get?
Anyway, those clever people over at Queer Action Alerts have figured out how to get his Web site shut down, since they have a “no hate speech” policy as well. You can read how to do it at:

honey you couldn’t follow simple hair dye instructions.
I wonder who owns the rat trap building this dork preaches in?It looks like ugly warehouse space, that they set up folding chairs in. I think it’d be funny if queers bought it, and tossed pastor-kill-the-fags out on his A$$!
I looked up this cruddy non descript buildingIt’s an ugly small office building with about 5 tenants, which include a pawn shop.
stay CLASSY “pastor” Steve
Don’t think the tiny church is doin’ so goodUnder recent and upcoming events
The LAST event was a camping trip, over a year ago.
Which still doesn’t require the relationship to have been sexual.“My platonic bromance with you was more emotionally fulfilling than any of the sexual relationships I’ve had with women.”
MaybeI wish I could believe that without any reservation. I mean, it really is a very good point that certain people blast out crap like Anderson’s only because they enjoy the attention it gets them, and that we best lessen their threat by ignoring them.
But by the same token, all it takes for real disaster is for a single deranged psychopath to buy into the guy’s ideas and get pushed that last little bit over the line. It’s for that reason that I believe folks like Anderson really do warrant our concern.
Maybe religion should be regulated just like any other business endeavor.Estraven, I’m certain that there are no “higher levels” of his church. That’s the very reason you see so many of these “nondenominational” churches cropping up all around. (For example, here near Charlotte, it seems like every other billboard is promoting some new, hip church.) The thing is, as they have no affiliation to any other church group nor any membership in a governing body, there is absolutely no oversight or accountability–to God or man, apparently. Therefore, they have complete autonomy to do and say whatever they will (and tax free, at that). They are definitely lone wolves, rogues, whatever else you want to call them, and are just as dangerous as those terms imply.
This is hate speech, pure and simple, serving no other purpose than to incite mindless followers to violence. But writer Christopher Hitchens made the point much more succinctly, when commenting on the death of Jerry Falwell: “[T]here is no vileness that cannot be freely uttered by a man whose name is prefaced with the word Reverend.” And just as you noted, Jennyc, Hitchens went on to say: “Try this: Call a TV station and tell them that you know the Antichrist is already on earth and is an adult Jewish male. See how far you get. Then try the same thing and add that you are the Rev. Jim-Bob Vermin. ‘Why, Reverend, come right on the show!’ ” That is the problem here
a nutshell.
PHB seems the MAJOR source on stories on faux pastor stevieI searched a lot about stevie, and in 9 of 10 stories it’d link back to PHB. Good As You, tipsQ, and Joe My God got much fewer mentions. Just thought I’d warn Pam, that if whacky Stevie, his cult members, crazed baptists, or the Ron Paulites choose to follow links, the majority will show up here.
It must be exhausting to have that much hate and vitriol coursing through one’s veins.Well, petey, if Li’l Stevie is in any way consistent (though I doubt that he is, just as with most fundies), he would also enjoin his followers to abstain from using the internet, as the unfortunate man who is consdiered the father of modern computer science was himself a vile faggot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A…
How do you rape a mythological creature?
Have these videos been sent to the FBI?If this stuff is on YouTube, the FBI should get involved in this as hate speech in the public arena.
I have Reported this to the FBI Internet Crime CenterThey should have someone on this guy soon. He can’t upload that kind of hate speech to the YouTube and get away with it.
REPORT PASTOR ANDERSON’S HATE SPEECH
1. Report him to YouTube.
This is more difficult than it looks because he has hundreds of videos online, but if enough of us do it we’ll at least not have to worry about that. Around the 420 mark you’ll find a video called “The Truth about The Sodomites” (which you can view here if you’re a masochist), or perhaps “Judaism is the religion of the antichrist” or some other obviously hateful video. Click on http://www.youtube.com/safety_… and report the user name sanderson1611.
2. Report him to IPOWER.
The company that Anderson does web hosting with is called IPOWER, as was made apparent during a simple WHOIS search. IPOWER’s terms of use forbid hate speech. Report the url “http://www.faithfulwordbaptist.org” at abuse@ipower-inc.com as having hate speech (for example, his Homosexual Reprobates in which he says queer people are “trash,” that God has rejected us).
3. Report his wife’s blog.
Make no mistake about it: This woman is just as evil as he is, and it certainly shows in such entries as Breast milk donation in which she says: If you do, and you are like me, you want to make sure that 100% of the milk you donate goes to a cause you want to support, such as premature infants. There are other critically ill patients using human milk, such as cancer patients who can no longer tolerate food. There are also critically ill HIV-positive patients using it, but the last person I want my milk to go to is some old, decrepit queer. Or, even better, her entry “Another fag using IVF to have a baby” in which she writes, and I quote: “Of course, fags like to prey on little kids, which is why they like to have babies via IVF” and “Thank you for supporting and financing the medical science that goes into giving gays access to innocent victims.”
