Pastor Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona is a bible-quoting hellfire and damnation sort of guy. He calls for the execution of gays in numerous sermons that you can listen to here.
“The same God who instituted the death penalty for murders is the same god who instituted the death penalty for rapists and for homosexuals, sodomites and queers”
Jeremy at Good As You has some choice ones so you don’t have to give that hateful cuss any hits.
Anderson, while he’s memorized The Good Book, he is woefully underinformed about a few legal matters — he apparently wants Barney Frank to sue his pious *ss off.
“The sodomites are recruiters and you know who they are after? Your children. They are being recruited by the sodomites. They are being molested by the sodomites. They recruit through rape, they recruit through molestation, they recruit through violation”“Our country is run by faggots. You know who was the man who was the architect of the bailout? His name is Barney Frank, he is a pedophile…”
“That’s who just sold our country into fascism. That’s who just sold our corporations to the government. That’s who sold out our country, a faggot!”
Among other sin-filled people Anderson calls to be executed is the POTUS, for his stand on reproductive freedom.
“God Hates Barack Obama, I hate Barack Obama. I hate Him. God wants me to Hate Barack Obama.” “Someone who commits murder should get the death penalty.”
Do you think he would be investigated by the Secret Service during Bush’s terms in office? Did he think Bush deserved the death penalty for executing all those Iraqi citizens in his unnecessary military action? Just asking.

Now the NormOne raging christianist would be a joke in saner times.
But not today. Not when the mob is taking over, and Republicans smile approvingly. Not when Democrats are starting to move into hiding. Not when the press would rather show flames than point to those pouring kerosene on sparks.
These are dangerous times. It’s not yet too late to pull back from the brink. But we’re almost there.
of course not
Because whatever else they claim, these people believe that Iraq is/was a god ordained holy war against Satan’s followers. So in their opinion killing those of other faiths is ok, because they aren’t really people.
First, gay was the new black. Now, we are the new JewI wish we had even a fraction of the power and influence this guy thinks we do.
in addition to thatadd the LGBT community. If they gain power (again) and create “internment camps” for all of us they wouldn’t shed a tear.
Ah, Pastor AndersonThis is pure, unadultrated, unfiltered hate speech. Actually, I’d rather hear it like this, to be perfectly honest; hell, this is what everyone else wants to say.
As far as “faggots” are concerned, it takes one to know one, Mr. Anderson.
I have nothing to add
“everyone else” = homobigoted fundies….of course
What is so horrible is that there were probably gaychildren sitting in the pews listening to that awful diatribe. This man will be responsible for thier suicides.
Please, please, please…Barney Frank sue his ass. It might shut him up if a nice little million dollar defamation lawsuit comes down on his head. Not to mention, whoever is giving him his soapbox and megaphone might just decide to distance themselves so they don’t get caught up in the slaughter.
PamHas “Pastor” Anderson been put on the list of Hate Organizations at the FBI?
I found a Bible quote for Pastor Steve
The Hebrew word translated as “abomination” is to’ebah, the very same Hebrew word used to condemn “men who lay with men as with women” in Leviticus. So I’m now very curious: What is the Pastor’s opinion about haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers? Should they, too, be put to an immediate and brutal death?
My word.Sometimes I think the only difference between Arizona and Fred Phelps’s Kansas is it’s hotter here and less humid.
They are getting some ballsIt used to be the Phelps Klan that spoke just how they feel. It is kind of a change to actually see them be honest with their sheeple.
God wants him to hate? This guy apparently worships a different god than I was exposed to growing up. The god my parents discussed was all about love and being kind to your fellow men/women, all of them, even if you disagree with them.
It’s very scary that we have someone who has brought the satire of Betty Bowers to life, and then surpassed it.
Pixie gaydar says…ping ping ping. The lengths some people will go to in order to subvert self-hatred and deflect attention. Yeesh. This “pastor” sure has murder on the brain.
And he’ll be pleased as punch about it.
TypoI meant “sublimate,” not “subvert.” My decaf brain is anemic.
Not to mention Iraqis are dirty scary brown peopleHow can it be wrong for white christian troops to kill those dirty scary brown people? Them damn brown people were sitting there keeping us from all those oil fields! (Which are now being developed by the Chinese, but that’s another discussion.)
Between freedom of speech and freedom of religion, creeps like this have all the legal cover they need. Even if Frank sues and wins, the federal court appeals would take forever. Can’t you just hear the Alliance Defense Fund’s arguments on Anderson’s behalf?
Besides, this jerk has obviously decided he wants a slice of Fred Phelps’ publicity. Why give it to him?
These people vote. And they breed. Usually rampantly. (n/t)
“Faggot”?Looks like the gayest of gayboys to me. The self-loathers are always the biggest haters.
Accused Frank of a CrimeWithout any evidence. That is slander, pure and simple, and he should have his sorry, lying ass dragged into court so the whole world can see his hate.
Godder, birther, tea bagger, right-winger, TERRORIST!Here’s an interesting fact about this nutjob: He was arrested for failure to obey a police officer’s direction in April of this year after a stop by Customs/Border Patrol near Yuma, AZ. You can check out the you tube video on his blog(http://sanderson1611.blogspot.com/2009/04/pastor-steven-l-anderson-beaten-tazed.html) and even see DPS breaking into his car and tazering him. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJF5cUWXA_A&feature=video_response). He unfortunately didn’t know how to exercise his right to refuse search and had to suffer the consequences.
With all the hate he’s spewing, I’d like to tazer him a bit myself!
Ok, this is the second time this cam up on this threadWell, technically the third time. Bigot Anderson has “closet ‘mo” smirked allover his face a la Ted Haggard.
When his statements showed up at another blog, the opinion was pretty unanimous that he’s a ‘mo.
He’ll be getting some unwanted attentionI already reported this guy’s ass to the Southern Poverty Law Center. I tried emailing Barney Frank’s office about this, but he only allows emails from constituents.
I don’t think this guy can hide behind freedom of religion or speech — his remarks are as clear an example of any of defamation. Plus, anyone who tried to defend this piece of shit would pretty much blow the lid off of what the religious right really thinks.
LeviticusIgnorant people such as this man think the Bible is the word of God. They are enabled by moderate Christians who don’t have the balls to delete “God’s law” from their “holy book”.
We need more pastors tearing out hateful pages from the bible
and concentrate on the love.
A Boy Scout is always prepared….Wackos like this make me glad I own guns.
The Defense of Free SpeechIn this case is…
Was it true?
There was an obligation to provide information.
An expression of an opinion.
I don’t think stating as a fact that Barney Frank is a pedophile passes any of those defenses because it is not true, the speaker was not obligated to provide information (such as warning the public about a prosecuted pedophile), and it is not his opinion because he has no substantive information to back his claim other than his bigoted opinion that all gays are pedophiles–but that “opinion” doesn’t absolve him in this case because he tried to state as fact that Frank was a pedophile, meaning he didn’t make a generalized opinion statement about a group (although he did earlier in his rantings).
He could call Barney a lot of things and I would not have raised the defamation issue, but when you accuse someone of breaking the law (which is how he is using the word pedophile here) it does cross the line in my book.
Otherwise we should just do away with all defamation laws.
Ignorant NutjobThe church’s website states he has no college degree, and his only qualification is his apparent ability to memorize portions of the Bible.
A priest friend of mine in California says:“If God hates the same people you hate, it’s a sure thing that you have created God in your own image.”
Just sayin’.
There’s a saying we have in the South…“The scalded dawg hollers FIRST!”
That is to say that “pastor” Anderson likely has a few illegitimate children running around and/or a couple or few current/former boyfriends. It’s always easier to dictate the behavior of others to draw attention away from your own.
And these kind of people call Obama a “Nazi”?1. These fundies compare President Obama to Hitler because of the health care reform thing. Now some of them want to execute the GLBT community.
2.
Obviously false. The truth is that these “Christian” extremists are trying to recruit children and round them up in a Hitler Youth-type group, forcing their propaganda down the throats of kids.
3.
*What planet is this pastor from?
*Fred Phelps called and wants his quotes back.
Fight back with love!
I would like to gather hundreds of gay families and go fill this man’s church on a sunday for services and just smile at him while he preaches that gays should be executed. It is easy to scream “kill them” to the choir, it is much different to say it to a room filled with the faces of those you want killed. Perhaps we could all wear shirts that say, “I am one of the sodomites you want killed” and have our kids wear shirts that say, why do you want to kill my mom?
Sort of
This can be proven objectively via 30+ years of the published record.
Disproving a negative is all but impossible, but this also is in the realm of objectivity – though the onus would be on the person asserting that the statement is not defamatory to come up with some proof that it is an accurate statement.
In England it would be a slam dunk – unless, of course, its an accurate statement. And, though I’ll accuse St. Barney of many things, I’ve never seen any indication that that would be an accurate statement. Even though there’s no specific allegation of a specific act with a specific minor, there can be no real disagreement as to what calling someone a “pedophile” means.
Here, making a defamation case out regarding the “pedophile” comment so as to meet the New York Times v. Sullivan standard would be tricky. The ‘actual malice’ is obvious, but St. Barney would also have to show actual monetary damages resulting from the defamatory statement.
So…
Not that I’m suggesting anything nefarious, but wouldn’t it be conveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenient if one of his campaign contributors announces that such donations will cease – citing the “pedophile” accusation as a causal factor?
Of course, it should be moot – because this clown should at this moment be spending every penny he has on a criminal defense attorney to defend himself against a valid criminal charge stemming from the Obama comments (though I think it would be far more interesting if the charge related to his words – interpreted as being a threat against a certain former president.)
Recruit this!
Funny – the only ‘recruiting’ of “children” I ever see is committed by christianists.
Sigh, too bad. He is kind of cute, I’d do him!*snark!
his audienceSadly, homphobes like this have audiences, audiences that lack critical thinking skills and proudly take things on faith. They also pride themselves on being people of faith in action. I know, I grew up around New Lifers (although, thank christ not this evil).
This kind of extreme homophobic rhetoric is directly responsible for bullseyes on LGBT backs in the minds of “the faithful.”
AGAIN!!! AGAIN!!!!OMG that was hilarious!
For somebody who wants all gay people executed, he sure screams like a little faggot!
If they come after us, you can bet they’ll be coming after his little precious little ass too.
OMGThis guy is nuts! Talk about violence. He’s preaching violence.
The dangers of fundamentalism:
http://indiana.bilerico.com/20…
In a way…I’m thankful for guys like this and Fred Phelps. I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that people like Tony Perkins feel exactly the same way, but don’t dare saying so in public for fear of compromising whatever semblance of respectability they might have.
It’s really the polite hatred of people like Perkins that’s the most insidious because it makes the irrational look reasonable. This guy makes it obvious what the religious right homophobes are all about.
My GAYDAR is pinging like a 5 alarm fire! How long before the first of Pastor Steven’s boytoys shows up?
I Was Thinking the Same Thing! His spewing homophobic hatred like this makes me sincerely think he is trying to drown out the desires he is feeling inside. He sounds like he is transferring the hatred/fear he has for those internal feelings and hatred of himself for having them onto others. My gaydar went wild when I read his rant. I would be willing to bet these rants are his way of cleansing himself. It’s his way of ridding himself of these feelings and putting his hatred outward instead of inward.
It’s fun to yell “Hater,” but…… let me play armchair psychologist for a moment. Here’s my take on this guy.
1. He was molested when he was younger by some male adult in his family, and has harbored anger and bitterness against this person ever since. If this is true, he has clearly never received the kind of therapy and assistance needed to overcome such a personal violation. Instead, it comes out through his preaching, which is more of a cry for help than anything.
Or:
2. He’s same-sex attracted, and this partially explains his attraction to fundamentalism, which claims to have all the answers to every problem in life. Despite marrying young, having plenty of kids, founding a church and running soul-winning campaigns, he still feels he’s not doing enough to “kill” what’s deep inside him. (Hence, the “thorn in the flesh” sermon on his website.) So, he outwardly projects his anger and hatred of this part of himself through his sermons.
It’s either one or the other… or possibly both.
From what I’ve read on his family blog and in related news reports, he’s already been involved in two confrontations with authorities-one at a hospital, and the other at a border patrol checkpoint. Regardless of whether the authorities’ response in either case was excessive (and it may have been), he clearly did something to provoke the response in both incidents.
This man is a ticking time bomb of anger, and something bad is going to happen if he doesn’t seek compassionate, professional help to deal with whatever is eating away at him. Unfortunately, being an extreme fundamentalist (he’s a “KJV-only” literalist), he likely won’t seek help from anyone but unlicensed Christian “counselors” who believe the same exact way he does and can only enable him, not help him.
Yes, it’s easy to point at the fundie and yell, “Hater!” but there is a deeper reason for this that we need to recognize. I’ve seen this played out over and over and over with extreme fundamentalist types (or anyone who has such animus against GLBT people). It’s really tragic.
Don’t Doubt Itbecause it’s true.
Tony Perkins, Jerry Falwell, the “moral majority”, James Dobson, Phyllis Schlafly and a couple others were pushing for the execution of all gay people during the 1980′s.
Even more hilarious that the sissies had to bug the government that they hate so much to carry out their dirty work (by lethal injection or electrocution was what they were hoping for).
It’s unfortunate that gay activists have swept this under the rug over the years.
Time BombAnd there’s not much anyone can do UNTIL he explodes, and is put away for a long time.
I’ve studied fundamentalist “christian”/serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer for the past year or so, and he slipped through the cracks so many times – even with multiple arrests during the decade prior to his apartment full of body parts was discovered.
A street preacher in Milwaukee befriended him, and even he couldn’t help Jeffrey.
His probation officer was too lazy to stop by his apartment, and never did once after Jeffrey was convicted of molesting a teenager (ironically whose younger brother, Konerak, had also escaped from Dahmer years later, and was handed right back to him by the police).
Nothings’s going to stop him until he does something drastic.
Flipped the script….You ever get the feeling that all these ‘christians’ are actually the work of the devil while the persecuted are the blessed? It’s almost like prophecy…except the characters are flipped…
Either way, read the New Testament dude. Even you are loved and forgiven, just not by me. =0)
Knucklehead rantYup. And Hitler was a quarter Jewish, as well.
Oh yes we must all show this creature how much we love himHe’s so sensitive!
too clever to do the dirty work himselfThis may be a case where he winds up crazies like Frankenstein dolls and then disavows them when they go off. We really do have to apply proximate-cause theory to criminal law, not just civil. Speech does have real-life consequences and should carry legal consequences for the rsults.
Modern Day Elmer GantryThe novel and then film “Elmer Gantry” is just as valid as it was back in the day. So many hucksters are making a living off people’s faith by preaching to them and creating parasitic “churches.” (Jim and Tammy Bakker elevated this to an artform that came crashing down around them.) The difference is that nowadays these con men have gotten political as well and the LGBT community is their readymade boogeyman with OT verses ripe for quoting as justification, especially Leviticus. God save us from your alleged followers!
Oh yes we must all show this creature how much we love him Mmmmm… break out the marshmallows!
This is a good point1) With the Bakkers, it WAS a good show; there was the faint recognition (depeding on the intensity of your faith)that it was entertainment. It was always kinda fun to watch them, particularly to guess how long it would be before Tammy cried and how massscra wold run. That was really the whole hook.
And the Bakkers did not set out to intentionally harm or defame anyone, not even the LGBT community.
Pastor AndersonI suggest you pray no one acts on your hate speech threat against a US Congressman, the president, or any other LGBT person, or you will be considered an accesory to the beating or killing.
only a theory, there are no facts given for either scenarioAll we know for sure is he made threats of violence or death.
Whatever else may, or may not be true about this man, it would need facts to back it up. I am offended when the assumption of mollestation or latent homosexuality is just considered a given.
I believe youBut do you have a link to some information about these people calling for the death penalty for gays? I remember there was something about a regional director of the Moral Majority somewhere in (I think) California calling for that, but I wasn’t sure about Falwell, Perkins and Schlafly…
Couldn’t trace it to Falwell himselfhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R…
Christian reconstrucionism (?)Here is the wikipedia page outlining the movement.
of course, the best thing about wiki is that it includes references.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C…
The seem to do more “preying” than “praying”
Dena
he has crossed into criminal territoryThreats regarding the President are a crime, IINM, so in that regard he is over the line.
Whee, the things people get away with these days! Anybody saying anything remotely like that during the last Administration would’ve wound up in jail, if not a military stockade, faster’n you can say “extraordinary rendition.”
I know about Rushdoony…and the other Reconstructionists, but I don’t know about Falwell, Schlafly and Perkins openly calling for the death penalty for gays. I wouldn’t be surprised, and Perkins’ organization defended the Texas sodomy law…
OMFG! Hilarious is the word, all right!I tend to take the “he’s gay” stuff about ‘phobes with a grain of salt. It seems way to easy to slam our enemies like that. But this guy…! He sets off my gaydar louder than Richard Simmons, Paul Lynde and Charles Nelson Reilly rolled into one!
BTW, what’s with the logo on his shirt being pixelated?
Illegitimate kids or boyfriends……OR BOTH!
And The Thing was described as an “intellectual carrot”Seem appropriate.
No, I never get that feeling.I’m an adult.
Well, we found out about Jim, didn’t we?I still remember a segment backstage at the “passion play” at their theme park. Jim was on his knees in front of the really humpy actor who played Jesus. He was adjusting his loincloth for him, and his nose and mouth were about three inches from the guy’s crotch.
I remember thinking no heterosexual man would let himself be photographed at hat way. Turns out I was right, huh?
Oh, my, did you get pictures?that sounds interesting…
As I remember, though, the Bakkers were playful and even outright campy in that way.
Hey, it’s Matthew FoxThis is what happens when Lost goes on hiatus.
Well, duh, I have no hard facts… that’s why I emphasized it was a THEORY…… and used the word “if” a lot. Please re-read.
As far as facts are concerned, only the pastor would be able to confirm what they are, and that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
If you’re offended by the fact that molestation and/or latent homosexuality is almost always the trigger when it comes to this level of personal vitriol against GLBT people… I can’t help that. I guess you’ll just have to be offended.
People–even religious people–don’t just randomly spew this kind of consistent, ongoing anti-gay anger. There has to be a trigger from personal life experience, and given that I’ve grown up amongst fundamentalists and seen this firsthand, I know what I’m talking about.
Again, it’s just a theory, but if you can come up with a better one, go ahead.
Come and try and get me, ye gutless tosser!!!!You and yours love inspiring others to do your killing, your arsons, your beatings…..turning out your brave little “lone wolves”
Well, Sir, a challenge to you:
Carry out God’s commandment, you coward.
Come and get me.
Face to face, no gutless bombs or sniper rifles as your kind usually uses.
A facedown between a minister of an angry god and a woman who has faced your kind in Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia over and over.
He’s also a business owner….I don’t know about any of you but if I had any input, I’d make sure nobody hires this whackjob for any fire alarm installations.

You say” if”, then contradict yourself saying “HAS TO BE”“There has to be a trigger from personal life experience,
Maybe this is common in such cases, or the majority of cases have this factor(s).
But it isn’t universal, and it doesn’t HAVE TO BE.
Some people kill and threaten, cuz they like to kill or threaten, some people we’ll never know why they threaten or kill, some folks may have war traumas or off their meds, or just NUCKING FUTS!

Hmmm, is this the same guy?So Mr. Moral Authority can play big tough guy and call for the execution of Gays and anyone else he doesn’t like, but what happens when he encounters people who don’t much like him?
Answer: This is what happens.
No contradiction whatsoever…The “has to be” is in regards to a personal trigger. I never said my theories about what that personal trigger might be… “had to be.” That’s why I used the word “if.” I provided two likely theories. You named two others.
The chances of this man being a sociopath, as you infer, is always a possibility… but I don’t think it’s very likely. And the chances of someone just being “nuts” is even smaller. Their theological position may be based on absurd assumptions and/or just plain ignorant of reality, but that automatically does not make someone “nuts.”
Yes, it’s fun to call people names… especially religious people. We sure feel better about ourselves when we do it. But it’s not very illuminating or helpful to the discussion.
My point stands. This man has personal issues, and it’s very likely one of the two theories I suggested.
I’ve pretty much believe thatWell, if there was a Satan that is. I would think he would be clever enough to do just that.
As it is, the fundy types of “christians” have certainly ran off enough folks into his arms.

No he wasn’tIt’s an urban legend.
No major historian supports this myth. If you have proof, share it.

Why does it “have to be”?I live with a psychologist and have co-authored some books with him and I think you’re offering too simplistic an explanation of this kind of hatred.
Human psychology is much more complex than that, and his kind of ranting could be multiply-determined or have determinants you or I would never guess at.
Homosexuality may for instance be a metaphor to him for something abominable and so our attempt to read that he speaks like this ergo he must have been molested or must be gay himself is overly simplistic.
That doesn’t invalidate in any way what you’ve observed, it simply enlarges the field of speculation.
Suing Pastor AndersonActually, I wish Barney Frank WOULD sue this demon. I can think of two cases: Missouri Court of Appeals, Hester v. Barnett, 723 S.W.2d 544(1987) ”The use of the pulpit as the pretext for the practice of religion, but as the occasion for intentional defamation []is neither justified by privilege nor protected by the free exercise clause.”
McNair v. Worldwide church of God, 197 Cal. App 3d 363(1987). A California appeals court found the plaintiff could recover damages for defamatory remarks made during the course of a doctrinal explanation by a duly authorized minister by meeting the heightened test of malice applied to public figure libel cases.
looks like it, or …He also sort of look like a young Michael Palin (the Monty Python Palin, I mean). Or at least the manic look.
Wait till Biggus Dickus hears of this!!
speaking of whichDoes his church sponsor a Boy Scout troop? he asked innocently.
Can a douche bag be brutalized?Calling this guy a first-class douche and/or enema bag (according to your insult preference) is an insult to douche and/or enema bags.
That said, I have a somewhat unpleasant question: if this video had featured someone else, say, a brown-skinned latino born in the USA, making exactly the same speech (except for the dialect, mayhap), would it have engendered screams of police brutality on this blog?
If what he says about the police dog is true, it seems possible that the agents manufactured a convenient excuse to search his vehicle. I don’t know what really happened, of course, and I am too lazy to even bother looking for additional reports.
It occurs to me, though, that just because the guy is a waste of oxygen and an embarassment to the human race does not mean that he was not victimized. (Again, not that I know whether he was or wasn’t.)
Put another way: as much as I enjoy the schadenfreude, perhaps more than one sack of shit has been identified in this thread.
I couldn’t care less how he’s “determined”I want protection from him and his kind.
They’re threatening to kill and we have every reason to take these threats seriously.
‘mo
Hiding? My happy ass! They didn’t hide at Haymarket, or at the Stonewall Inn, or at Selma.
Lock and load. (Metaphorically speaking, of course….) ;-)
Except during the monsoon, Jake. n/t
Live boys AND dead girls?Where’s the popcorn?
Frank cannot show damagesbeing excoriated by a whack-job fundie ought to improve his popularity in his constituency.
Anderson no doubt knows this and recognises that Frank cannot sue him; he will cite the failure to sue, though, as Frank’s admission of guilt
Can we have mandatory birth control added to ObamaCare, for fundies?Seems like a nice idea…
Strangely enough, Benedict XVI described fundamentalismas intellectual suicide when he was still only the scary Cardinal Ratzinger
Sigh..right wing misogyny ignores the Lesbians yet againWe are soooooo overlooked when people discuss how American Kultur is being destroyed
I am damned on multiple counts1. apostasy
2. adultery (My bad, converted a fundie pastor’s wife for my toaster oven)
3. Witchcraft(Paganism, really)
4. idolatry(Paganism again)
I am soooooo dead if these people ever get into power….
it’s not the heat, it’s the stupidityAnd both AZ and KS have some entries in this race, although Minnesota has its very own Michelle Bachman coming up on the outside.
I read in the newspapers they are going to have 30 minutes of intellectual stuff on television every Monday from 7:30 to 8:00 to educate America. They couldn’t educate America if they started at 6:30.
– G. Marx
Why Isn’t the FBI Investigating This Church?Last I checked threats against the POTUS are considered actionable. We’ve been hearing too damned much of this craziness lately.
I am all for people believing whatever and worshipping whichever deity, but they cross the line when they start egging people on to kill members of a given group. They have the right to their beliefs–what they DO NOT have is the right to threaten those of whom they do not approve.
Wait. I thought we were socialistsNow we’re fascists? My poor gay head is getting very confused.
Also, the Bible doesn’t have a death penalty for rape. Instead it outlines the price the rapist has to pay the father and then forces the raped woman to marry the rapist.
There is, however, a Biblical death penalty for making fun of baldness, but that’s implemented through bear-mauling not by act of man.
The Secret Service is overwhelmedToo many threats, at least 30 a day against POTUS.
Nice find!Drama seems to follow him wherever he goes.
You are right on all counts. And he’s still an enema bag.
I didn’t understand one aspect of his story. I’ve been stopped by the border patrol for suspicious (and easily explained) behaviors while driving at night (this was many years ago). I’d be pissed off because they sometimes would appear out of nowhere, in plain clothes and shining lights in my eyes after I pulled over. Nevertheless, I’d make my explanations and let them search my vehicle since I had nothing to hide and wanted to be on my way.
These days, I might stand on my rights and insist they get a search warrant, while still being amiable and chatty. Why did this nutcase lock himself in his car and refuse to come out? Why didn’t he insist that they get a search warrant? Or do I misunderstand? Is the (probably phony) hit by the sniffer dog all the probable cause they needed?
Seems it would be difficult to explain……his refusal to get out of the car. He may have assumed they wanted a clearer shot at his body for their Tasers. Which would appear to have been correct.
After the evisceration of the Fourth Amendment by Scalia et al, police know that–on the scene–they have almost unlimited discretion. In court they need merely select from one of a number of exceptions to the 4th; or, they can invent a “probable cause” (after the fact, if necessary).
It’s a difficult choice: who, in this situation, is more infuriating and loathsome?
There’s a reasonLittle turds like this guy (if he’s as het as he claims) wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to watch two girls pleasure each other, raging erection and happily slef-pleasuring himself, geas in his bible be damned!
What Consequences Will Anderson Face?Several interesting ideas have come up here about what other people should do. Here’s another.
A. Rev Anderson preached a sermon about his religious beliefs in his church to his congregation. 1st Amendment – Freedom of Religion – no problem
B. Rev. Anderson published an audio version of his sermon on his church’s website. Sermon on CHURCH website. 1st Amendment – no problem
C. Rev. Anderson briefly posted a video of his sermon on YouTube for the public to hear and be moved by his words. No sermon because not in context of worship service. No church and no church affiliation. No religious affiliation at all. 1st Amendment Freedom of Religion does not apply. Left with 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech ….
However, Rev. Anderson has
Threatened the President
Defamed Congressman Frank of Massachusetts
AND
Defamed and called for the murder of every gay and lesbian in the world.
As a gay man, this frightens me especially given my view of the USA at the current time. As a gay man this depresses me. I know I am not alone.
But I am not a lawyer. It seems to me that a lawyer ought to be able to sue Rev Anderson as a private person for damages and punitive damages for the brief time his video was on YouTube. I will be talking about this ass with medicare therapist this week. I bet I am not alone.
So a nice class action law suit against this Anderson as an individual seems in order to me. Why oh why did I not listen to my Mom and go to Law School!!! LOL
PS It would be cold day in hell before I would take my child into his church to listen to his hate in an act of loving confrontation. Brrrr The very thought of such sends chills down my back.
I wasn’t writing to youI was replying to the post above, and I certainly wasn’t diminishing his threat.
Proof – Moral Majority: “Execute the Homosexuals……”Here you go!
It’s only a snippet of the original clip, which would be nice to get ahold of in its entirety.
Around the 0:45 mark shows Dean Wycott of Moral Majority explaining what the “christians” had in mind for gay people in the 1980′s:

In this case, a “christian” is a Christian is a Christian: gay people collectively have never called for the execution of ANY group of people, and apparently no Christian stood up in the defense of gay people when the exterminations were proposed by Christians.
Sorry to the more forgiving types out there: calling for the execution of any group of people – 20ish years ago, no less – is not something to gloss over and make it less of a threat than what it is.
They are lunatics. Period.
Dean WycoffDean WyCOFF of the Moral Majority, rather.
Moral MajorityAll of them – Dobson, Perkins, Schlafly, the LaHaye’s – they were all involved with the Moral Majority in some capacity, and then branched out into their own religious businesses.
If I’m not mistaken Bush Sr. was also involved in that group of people.
looks like the upright pastor ha gotten into a little trouble with the lawI know you should not laugh at somebody getting tazored but Ha Ha

The logical extension of FoTF, the AFA, the FRC, etc. What is truly frightening about Anderson’s ravings is that his idea of a perfect America — a nation in which gay persons are executed merely for being who they are — is that he represents, albeit in extreme form, the opinions of members of organization such as the “American Family Association“, the “Family Research Council“, “Focus on the Family“, etc. His ravings represent the logical end point of the ravings of members of these organizations, and his calls for the execution of gay persons represent the unstated desires of so many of the right-wing, anti-gay extremists who gravitate to these organizations. There is nothing funny about the culture wars when one of its leading proponents advocates the execution of gay men and lesbians; and there is nothing amusing about this type of Bible-thumping when a leading proponent of right-wing views uses the Bible as justification for a hate-filled rant…
For more on this evil man and his views, read the commentary at http://www.rightwingwatch.org/… in which he is exposed for the snarling, rabid fanatic that he is.
It is people like this who have influenced the Ugandan politicians to pass an “anti-homosexuality bill” that would result in the execution of almost all gay men and lesbians in Uganda — as well as those Ugandans who commit such “crimes” whilst resident in other nations. With Africa’s history of pogroms in which literally millions of people have been slaughtered within a period of a few weeks (as occurred in Rwanda), it is depressingly likely that this bill will become law, and that Uganda will become the next African nation to stage a massacre of its own citizens.
We are living in very dangerous times. State after state in the US has enacted constitutional amendments to prohibit the recognition of gay marriage; and some states (e.g. Nebraska) amended their state constitutions in such a manner as to deprive gay persons living in those states of any form of recognition of their relationships whatsoever (including the recognition of domestic partnerships).
Our President, who assured us that he would be a “fierce advocate” for justice for gay Americans, has turned his back on his word. Once again — as has occurred on countless past occasions — the gay community became the first community to be jettisoned in a politician’s bid to shore up his falling approval ratings.
Many of the Republicans believe that gay persons “recruit” children; and there has been a deafening silence from the Democrats, who are supposedly more progressive with respect to social issues.
