The credibility of the homo-obsessed, perpetually frustrated Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness is shot. Not only is she wholly unqualified to speak about the military as any kind of authority (she does not have any military experience), she delivered jack*ssery testimony that drew laughter on Capitol Hill last year as she defended the discriminatory Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy. Let’s hope she shows up for the Senate hearings.
In the current issue of Human Events, the doyenne of discrimination bleats:
Murphy has replaced former Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif.) as the new lead sponsor of H.R. 1283, a bill that would repeal the 1993 law stating that homosexuals are not eligible to serve in the military. That law, Section 654, Title 10, frequently is mislabeled “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Murphy’s bill would replace the 1993 statute with a new law forbidding discrimination in the military “based on homosexuality or bisexuality, whether the orientation is real or perceived.”The open-ended language in “Murphy’s New LGBT Law” would mandate accommodation of professed (not discrete) sexual minorities in all branches and communities of the military to include Army and Marine infantry and Special Operations Forces, Navy SEALs, and submarines. This would be tantamount to ordering military women to live with men in close quarters offering little or no privacy on a constant basis.
Here we go, you know what’s coming — discussions of sexual tension, naughty bits being shaken around to entice horny service members who think with their genitals and not their brains — and yes, they handle guns and WMDs! ZOMG! If you didn’t catch Elaine’s sitcom-worthy testimony in defense of DADT, here’s Patrick Murphy and Elaine in action on video.
Men and women are human, and therefore imperfect. Homosexuals are no more perfect than anyone else. Sound military personnel policies encourage discipline rather than indiscipline, but Murphy’s New LGBT Law would have the opposite effect. If Congress passes Murphy’s New LGBT Law, the armed forces would have to disregard the normal human desire for modesty and privacy in sexual matters. Unprecedented male/male and female/female sexual tensions will ensue, but the military will try to override them with mandatory sensitivity training courses. Corollary “zero tolerance” policies would deny promotions and end the careers of thousands of military personnel who disagree for any reason.
Her interpretation of her appearance:
I tried to present comprehensive testimony on the history and purpose of the 1993 law and the consequences of repeal. But Murphy and other committee members demonstrated little concern about predictable problems. Instead, they diverted attention from serious issues by trying to bully me with derogatory comments or questions. Their dismissive behavior proved my point about intolerance in the name of “tolerance.”
Yes, serious issues like this
Donnelly treated the panel to an extraordinary exhibition of rage. She warned of “transgenders in the military.” She warned that lesbians would take pictures of people in the shower. She spoke ominously of gays spreading “HIV positivity” through the ranks.“We’re talking about real consequences for real people,” Donnelly proclaimed. Her written statement added warnings about “inappropriate passive/aggressive actions common in the homosexual community,” the prospects of “forcible sodomy” and “exotic forms of sexual expression,” and the case of “a group of black lesbians who decided to gang-assault” a fellow soldier.
…”Like a woman who is stared at, her breasts are stared at,” Donnelly explained. She further explained the “absolutely devastating” effect of homosexuals “introducing erotic factors” and made a comparison to Sen. Larry Craig’s adventure at the Minneapolis airport. She said admitting gays to the military would be “forced cohabitation” and a policy of “relax and enjoy it.”

Would someone buy this hag a Trojan finger tickler? She is sucking all the joy out of life.
Ms Donnelly is an idiot Please, I served 20 years in the Navy, in tight quarters on 5 different ships and never once did I flaunt my privates at another Sailor. She is living in a delusionary world. She has obviously never been in a locker room with a bunch of 20 something men. Flaunting their manhood in front of their peers is a very “hetro” activity, in the service or out of it. This woman needs to go back to her suburban existance and leave the Military alone.
Being an idiot doesn’t make her harmless….
It’s certainly hard to resist mocking someone like Donnelly who seems consciously eager for it, a 24-7 living luv child of an old SNL Gilda Radner “Roseanne Roseannadanna” skit ["What's all this fuss about Endangered Feces?"] and a Daily Show skit.
BUT to confuse mockery with rendering her harmless is a huge mistake. Mainstream media love a “fight” particularly when it serves their phony positing of themselves as “objective” with a “responsibility to present both sides.”
Of course, long ago, most respected media stopped giving a platform to Holocaust deniers whenever it was discussed or members of the KKK et al. whenever discussing race, but say “gay rights” and they feel impelled to give time and space to any nut, religious or secular, who sticks their head out of the ground.
And, in some instances, their reporting is required, such as of that now infamous letter to the President from “1000+” retired, high ranking military officers opposing DADT repeal.
But while some, such as the PBS Newshour, have reported that the credibility of the letter is in question given that at least one high ranking veteran denied that his name appeared on it with his permission and at least three other “signatories” were dead when they supposedly signed it, its power to make it appear that the majority of the military oppose gay integration…thus giving continued cover to Obama to DO NOTHING…remains extremely damaging as it keeps getting mentioned without the credibility disclaimer.
If there is anything that Donnelly is more than nonsensical it is obsessed with keeping DADT on the books, using her contact list of other homohaters who DO have “credibility,” such as Gen. Carl E. Mundy, Jr., commandant of the Marine Corps in 1993 who was even MORE rabidly opposed to Clinton gay integrating the services than Colin Powell and personally showed or gave copies of the hysterical but powerful The Gay Agenda video to the Joint Chiefs, other military and members of Congress; Adm. Leighton W. Smith, former commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe; Gen. Charles A. Horner, who commanded U.S. aerial forces during the 1990-91 Gulf War; and Adm. Jerome L. Johnson, a former vice chief of Naval Operations.
As a tireless, constant source of homophobic “facts” for the Antigay Industry, she is the “Paul Cameron of DADT” and we treat her only as a joke at our peril.
Elaine is a Vicious, Homophobic Guttersnipe I don’t get Elaine. Never have.
She must’ve fallen hard for a gay man back in college only to be rejected by him. Her hatred for gays is stunning.
I’m a big man: 6’2″ and 215lbs of muscle and I would cross the street if I saw her coming.
PFFFFFTT! She isn’t even the story here.Let’s talk about Mr. Murphy going to Washington. The Poster boy for the young str8 military and he is upset that gays can’t serve openly like they do in so many other parts of the world! sigh What a stud! He represents everything the homophobes in the closet of our military leadership did not expect. DADT is going down soon and I think this man will have a lot to do with that. I just hope the rest of the democrats get on board and open their eyes long enough to see that the popularity of this movement is beginning to bleed over into Washington and it will not reward those who sit on the sidelines too long.
Some morons are truly dangerous…And Elaine Donnelly would be one of them. She validates the irrational bias (her own included) by providing plenty of truth-free fuel for the fires of hate. (Is there another kind of fuel for hate, really?)
I would know. I’ve been a victim of some of her hate-mongering. I used to serve in the Army National Guard. But I also know that soldiers act like professionals when they have good leadership.
After I came out, I found out that one of the soldiers in my section didn’t want to sleep even across the hall from a gay man. The soldier who was sharing quarters with me at the time apparently looked the phobic man in the eye and said with some disbelief, “He’s gay, he’s not a rapist.”
My section chief told the rest of the section in no uncertain terms that they would continue to treat me with the respect due any other soldier. That was good leadership, and it would have worked had the First Sergeant backed him up. Instead, a few drill weekends later, I was mysteriously transferred to the unit office to serve out the remainder of my military service pushing papers. It was intimated that the reason for this was that I was a “morale issue.” The likely cause of that was a certain homophobe in my communications section appealing to a sympathetic ear higher up because he didn’t wanna serve with an ass-munching fairy like me.
Derogatory comments and physical in-your-face behavior bordering on assault were directed at me from several soldiers in the unit. I assume they were emboldened and/or validated by the First Sergeant’s actions in reassigning me. I wasn’t happy about enduring this further harassment and spoke with several people in the unit office about it to find out what I could do. At this point, I still hadn’t been given the name or contact information of my JAG officer, nor been provided with the opportunity to obtain legal representation of any sort. Mentioning that fact didn’t earn me any favors with unit command, I guess.
Things went downhill from there and it wasn’t long before the unit leadership thought the best possible use for me was pushing a mop and scrubbing the latrines. I was also demoted in rank. No explanation was offered for this new insult. Needless to say both I and my JAG officer objected to this, and I was relieved of further “duty” (read: harassment) and re-promoted until the paper-pushers higher up finally processed my honorable discharge.
The point here is that until President Obama shows strong leadership on this issue, and until his generals and admirals issue clear orders, persecution and harassment of LGBT soldiers will continue. The issue is not that homosexuality causes problems with unit cohesion and morale. It is that bigots cause problems with unit cohesion and morale. When uncontested, they override the good leadership of others. They look the other way when harassment occurs. They encourage bad behavior in their subordinates, often simply by their unwillingness to quash it.
We didn’t kowtow to the bigots when Johnson and Eisenhower desegregated the military. We didn’t bow and scrape to the bigots when women were allowed to serve. We shouldn’t appease them today. Elaine Donnelly needs to be taken seriously, yes. But what she needs most is a very public reprimand from the highest levels of the military for fomenting morale issues and harassment.
