Look at this compilation by Media Matters. It's the usual suspects, G. Gordon Liddy, Rush, Glenn Beck, etc. Jesus Christ; if this is what the GOP and the right wing want to rebuild their brand on, they are going to be in a world of hurt. These people are insane.
Over at TPM, here's more documentation that the color-aroused card is irresistable to this crowd and we're only a few precious months into the the tenure of this administration.
• Above all others, the real celebrity here has been Rush Limbaugh. He's done this kind of thing before — remember the "Barack, The Magic Negro" song? But in the wake of the Gates incident, he's managed to become even more hard-edged about it. "Here you have a black president trying to destroy a white policeman," Limbaugh declared this past Friday. Yesterday, he shared a dream he's had about the dangers to capitalism: "I had a dream that I was a slave building a sphinx in a desert that looked like Obama." And he joked that food-safety advocates will go after all the unhealthy foods people like to eat, one by one — but they'll have to wait until Obama is out of office to ban Oreos.
• Glenn Beck said this today on Fox News: "This president, I think, has exposed himself as a guy, over and over and over again, who has a deep-seated hatred for white people, or the white culture. I don't what it is. You can't sit in a pew with Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and not hear some of that stuff, and not have it wash over."
• During his new crusade of Birtherism, Lou Dobbs suggested on his radio show this past Wednesday, right before the Gates flare-up, that Obama could be an illegal immigrant, tying this into his usual preoccupation. "I'm starting to think we have a document issue," Dobbs said. "You suppose he's un– no, I won't even use the word 'undocumented,' it wouldn't be right."
Apparently they can't make any headway on the actual issues of the day that actually affect Americans; they only know how to deal from the bottom of the deck with vile distractions like this.

The Republicans have always had only one strategy: accuse the other one of exactly what you’re doing and who you are. This is more of that. They have to know that being the racist party during our first black president’s term will make permanent their minority status, so that would seem to be the goal. Which makes me wonder how they benefit from that.
Since the Republican party is the one that promotes fascism the most — and since we’ve now moved from Republicans using elected offices as a stepping stone to corporate jobs after their term is over to Republicans quitting elected office to get their corporate jobs immediately — I have to wonder if the point isn’t to move us to a place where government doesn’t exist? Where else do you go when the corporate media would sooner destroy the country than allow a Democratic president to do his job and the country won’t elect any candidate the Republicans nominate? They can only steal just so many elections.
You know what I hear when I watch that shit?“Rabblerabblerabble! They tuk r jobz!” I’m glad you watch them so I don’t have to. I can’t deal, but…if anyone can point me in the direction of some good Glenn Beck and friends videos (I don’t want to chop up TPM’s), well, I might have a new project.
These tools make me ashamed to be white
Republitards….”Birthers”…..whatever!!!!Since the New Deal, Republicans have been on the wrong side of every issue of concern to ordinary Americans; Social Security, the war in Vietnam, equal rights, civil liberties, church- state separation, consumer issues, public education, reproductive freedom, national health care, labor issues, gun policy, campaign-finance reform, the environment and tax fairness. No political party could remain so consistently wrong by accident. The only rational conclusion is that, despite their cynical “family values” propaganda, the Republican Party is a racist criminal conspiracy to betray the interests of the American people in favor of plutocratic and corporate interests, and absolutist religious groups.
What’s he going to saynow that it’s come out that the white cop falsified the police report?
It was funny……..…….I was watching MSNBC this afternoon (can’t remember the person’s name) but he was representing the birthers (or Republicans – can’t remember which one) but he goes on the “President Barack Hussein Obama” (emphasizing Hussein) thing. And let me tell you, the MSNBC commentators (I don’t refer to any of them as journalists as I don’t really think many real journalists exist anymore) jumped all over him, and of course he backtracked in no time flat, saying “President Obama.” It’s as he completely forgot where he was, as if he were at the “C-Street House.”
During hard economic times, in the most liberal western nationthose kind of messages got the National Socialist German Worker’s Party swept into the Reichstag
Good bet:He’s going to say he had to do it because he was intimidated by the Angry Black Man. It can’t possibly be the cop’s own fault. He’s white.
My xtranormal video
I guess we can’t embed xtranormalIt worked on the preview.
Anyway, here it is on YouTube…
No, no, noIt was the Gay Agenda (TM) behind the Liberal Conspiracy (TM) who sponsors the Angry Black Man (TM), underwritten by the Damn Commies (TM), who initiated the intimidation. Gotta have our Chain o’Blame correct.
I LOVE these robo-speakersStarting to feel better about them when they did the Uniting American Families Act ad.
They really shouldn’t…I mean, I know what you meant – but seriously, you may be white, but you’re rational and morally sane (not to disparage anyone with real mental illnesses – moral sanity is much more important than mental sanity IMO). I don’t consider racism or any prejudice a mental illness (as some have called racism), but a moral one.
Whiteness, like non-whiteness, is a social construct. The fact that people of all shades see through this blather gives me hope that we’re all collectively willing to dismantle a little more of the master’s house, no matter whether we were born in it or not.
