UPDATE – First Peter disables the comments and ratings. Now he has made the video “private,” which means it is only viewable to those he chooses to show it to. But you can still watch the monstrosity on youtube.
I view this as a success. We made him pull a full retreat. And please bear in mind that no one tried to keep him from showing his video. But if he is man enough to demonize the lgbt community videowise then he should be man enough to put up the comments and ratings. (Editor's note – By saying this, I am not defending any ugly or threatening comments directed towards LaBarbera.)
Somedays I hate technology.
Like this morning for example when I logged onto the Americans for Truth webpage (some people drink coffee to wake up, I like to laugh) and saw that Peter LaBarbera has posted footage from the 2009 Chicago Pride on youtube.
Interestingly enough, unlike LaBarbera's past photo footage of prides, the Chicago event seems relatively tame.
LaBarbera even has to manufacture some ridiculous claim that gays marching in the parade are anti-police via footage of a sign by some of those marching. Of course LaBarbera didn't think to question those holding the sign as to what it meant.
I guess he figured why take a chance on ruining a good innuendo.
LaBarbera's “entry” into youtube has both negative and positive repercussions.
The negative being we can expect to see more footage from other events posted on youtube complete with LaBarbera's “editorial comment” and innuendo.
The positive repercussions are that now we have another avenue to point out LaBarbera's blatant homophobia. And we also have the opportunity to tell him know what we think about his demonization of the lgbt community via ratings and comments just like we did with NOM's “Gathering Storm.”
That is until we scare him so bad that he disables both.

A Celebration!Once upon a time, Peter LaBarbera was a largely unknown anti-gay activist, keeping a low profile by filming amateur gay pornography and distributing it to his fellow “christian” men, along with the rare Fox News appearance.
Now he’s trying to inject himself into the modern public YouTube, which is mostly young adults and teenagers. The more his name becomes known, the more younger people will be educated as to who Peter LaBarbera really is.
Boy is he setting himself up for ridicule! LOL
The name “Porno Pete” will soon become synonymous with “Closet Case”.

I wonder if they are projecting. Maybe they are so full of insane violent rage against their opponents so they think that we all are too because there’s no other way to feel and act? Most of us are smart enough and emotionally stable enough to realize that everything isn’t always about us. They don’t seem to be at all. How many of them, for example, were going off about how we need to do something in Iran? Nuts, all of them…
Ah, I remember that entry in the parade.It was some version of the gay liberation front, or something like. Didn’t much care for some of their signs personally, but I recognize that it takes all sorts of us to advance the cause!

Flagging YouTube videosI don’t know how many of you have posted LGBT-related videos on YouTube.
I have and let me tell you that I spend a lot of time deleting slurs and threats from the comments. I have disabled comments on a couple of them just becuase I don’t have the time to monitor them.
Also, my videos are flagged as inappropriate and even hate speech frequently. When this happens, YouTube sends me a message stating that my video was flagged but they investigated and found it not to be a valid claim.
My Sally Kern video was getting a lot of threats and hateful comments. (I don’t delete comments unless they are hate speech or threatening.) I eventually disabled the comments:

The Peter should have expected to get flamed on YouTube. All he had to do was look at how his folks treat LGB YouTubers.

Yeah Pete, we all know that Steamworks in on Halsted Street. So do you. You’ve been in your reserved spot to protest the Gay Games in 2006 and Northalsted Market Days in years prior and since.
Also on Halsted Street is the 23rd District police station, the Center on Halsted Community Center, Equality Illinois offices and Caribou Coffee. So what?
The Peter just loves hanging out in front Steamworks for his backdrop, obviously fantasizing about what might be happening inside.
I was at the parade on Sunday. And Cook County Sheriff Dart was warmly received at the parade.
And, there is no violation of “decency” laws because Steamworks is a PRIVATE CLUB.
I love GLN. . .they are one of the few organizations which really fight back instead of always playing defense.

Why do they care so much lest they fear their own sexuality.
Why do they hate so much when they worship a God that tells them otherwise?
Why do they create lies in a feeble attempt to support their impossible postulate?
It’s obvious actually. We are happy and open and out and we don’t have any impact on anything in the world by simply being ourselves and when equality is given to us they become apoplectic. Obviously, they are jealous and/or afraid of themselves because they’ve allowed a story book, written by awfully hateful people, to control their lives rather than be allowed to live their lives the way they know they want to.

Then again, for some reason Petey doesn’t seem to care as much as gay women as he does about gay men. At least, he doesn’t photograph us, spend hours rewatching videos, fantasizing, etc., like he does with all those men.
The least he could dois credit you and whoever else he films! LOL
