While I prep for the evening ahead at the SLDN’s 16th Annual National Dinner live-blog (the real post goes up at 7:30), your blogmistress is messing with her webcam — I made a little intro. The lighting is not optimal, but then again, maybe it’s best for my sake that it’s dim right now in the National Building Museum.  

There’s a lot of activity as people are streaming in now and participating in the silent auction and reception. I’ve got to jet and get a Diet Coke to fortify me for the evening. See you online soon.
