From the denizens of WingNutDaily…
What should GOP Christians do if Giuliani wins their party's nomination?
Meanwhile, Rudy keeps on trying to court these folks: Giuliani: I Pray to Jesus for Guidance.
“I'm guided very, very often about, `Don't judge others, lest you be judged,'” Giuliani said in the CBN interview. “I'm guided a lot by the story of the woman that was going to be stoned, and Jesus put the stones down and said, 'He that hasn't sinned, cast the first stone,' and everybody disappeared. It seems like nowadays in America, we have people that think they could've passed that test. “And I don't think anybody could've passed that test but Jesus.”…Giuliani said that he tries to put the emphasis on his public life in order to prevent his family from being exploited. However, his personal life has often crept into his public life as evidenced by a much publicized incident at the National Rifle Association. In the middle of making a speech at the recent conference, Giuliani answered a call from his wife on his cell phone. He told her where he was and expressed his love for her.
…“It’s interesting that Giuliani makes this reaffirmation with his third wife before air travel ‘since Sept. 11,’ given that on Sept. 11, Giuliani was married to someone else,” wrote Steve Benen on his blog The Carpet Bagger Report.
Benen also pointed out that Jesus didn’t “put the stones down” since he never picked the stones up.

HaHe really referred to “the story of the woman that was going to be stoned?” Christians who take this stuff seriously can probably smell that sulphur from miles away.
Yay 3rd partyI wish they WOULD run a 3rd-party candidate! Split those right-wing votes away from the GOP!
YEA!Fully 60% of them support pursuing a third party route. This is easily the BEST thing that could happen to us. Split their vote. Nothing will take the religious right out of power and influence in this country faster than having them leave the two party election system. Anyone remember what Nader did to Gore in 2000?? We need a repeat of that in 08 on the right wing side.
“Don’t judge others, lest you be judged.”Nice try, Rudy, but the Republican evangelicals hate that verse. Better to use something from Revelation, oh say 19:11-16–
Woohoo!! Jesus the Asskicker!!
It’s Risiblethat a presidential candidate in 21st century America has to troll out his God creds to be deemed electable, as if one has to prove one wears boxers rather than briefs. When did America get so backward? You didn't see this with Kennedy, Johnson or Nixon, it only surfaced under Reagan when the old church ladies decided getting Jesus wasn't enough, you had to get political as well. Where's the candidate with the spine to say that his faith is a private affair and not for public consumption? It's like Germany in the 30s when you had to prove you were a good Nazi or you got nowhere. Or a good Baathist in Iraq. Why isn't anyone ashamed of this nonsense?
I hope this pollextrapolates to fundies in general. It’s great that the “stay at home” crowd is small. They’re as motivated as ever to vote and they (>50%) want to vote against the current GOP front runner. Yay!
Well seen and well said.
Oh please do it!Oh, I really hope they do it. Nthing could be more useful than ofr all the wingnuts to split form the republicans.
HA hahahahahaha!I just LOVE it when they tear each other apart. They gave us 8 years of Bush. They should all be sent a bill for Iraq, Katrina, etc. Fuck 'em.
